Maxis Postpaid Member Get Member Campaign Terms & Conditions

  1. The Member-Get-Member MGM programme for Maxis postpaid mobile customers (“Referrer”) to refer their family or friends (“Referee”) to switch from other mobile operator to Maxis by signing up for any Maxis Postpaid or Maxis Postpaid Share.
  2. The campaign is open to all existing Maxis postpaid mobile customers, except permanent, contract, temporary employees of Maxis and staffs of Maxis Centres & Maxis Exclusive Partners (MEPs).
  3. The Referrer/Referee rewards will only be applicable upon successful port-in of the Referee.
  4. Customers who have ported out from Maxis in the last six (6) months would not be eligible to be the Referee.
  5. There is no limit to the number of Referees. However, the Referrer reward of bill rebates is capped at RM500 per IC. For Referrers who refer more than ten (10) Referees, the subsequent Referees will receive a referee reward.
  6. The bill rebate for the Referrer/Referee will be staggered across two bill cycles, i.e. the 1st half of the rebate amount on second bill cycle, and the remaining rebate amount in the third bill cycle. At the point of bill rebate assignment, Referrer/Referee must be active and Referee must be on any MP plan or Maxis Postpaid Share.
  7. The bill rebate only covers taxable recurring charges such as monthly commitment fee, excluding Zerolution phone monthly payment, Zerolution upgrade fee and Zerolution premium device protection fee.
  8. Referees that terminates, ports out or downgrades rate plan:
    1. in less than 40 days, the Referee’s bill rebate will be forfeited.
    2. after 40 days, the Referee’s bill rebate will be pro-rated based on the active days Referee is on the eligible MGM rateplan.
  9. In the event, Referee’s line is suspended, the bill rebate will be pro-rated based on the Referee’s active days
  10. In cases where the bill rebate exceeds the monthly bill amount:
    1.  Referrer: the rebate balance will be carried forward to the Referrer’s next month’s bill.
    2.  Referee: the rebate balance will be forfeited and not carried forward to the next month’s bill.
  11. Maxis reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant of this campaign that is found or suspected of tampering with the campaign and/or its process or the operation of this campaign. Maxis reserves the right to disqualify any participant of this campaign and/or to forfeit any reward from participants of this campaign it believes has undertaken fraudulent practice and/or activities or other activities harmful to this campaign or the submission process. Fraudulent activities are deemed to include, but is not limited to any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating.
  12. Maxis reserves the absolute right at any time without assigning any reasons to add, alter, modify, change or vary the campaign terms and conditions contained herein, wholly or in part at its absolute discretion. Participants who participated in the campaign are deemed to have accessed Maxis’ Website [please go to www.maxis.com.my/referfriend] and to have knowledge of and to have agreed to any changes or variations to these terms and conditions. The participants agree that their continued participation in the campaign will constitute their acceptance of these campaign terms and conditions (as varied or changed).
  13. Maxis reserves the absolute right at any time without assigning any reasons thereto to cancel, terminate, postpone or suspend indefinitely the campaign.
  14. Maxis reserves the right to alter, amend and/or discontinue the campaign, the campaign period and the terms & conditions of the campaign without any prior notice.

    1. The personal information/personal data supplied by participants when entering this campaign will be used by Maxis in accordance with its privacy policy in the Maxis Privacy Statement. Please refer to the Maxis Privacy Statement by visiting the website (at www.maxis.com.my/pdpa) for more information as entry in this campaign is an agreement to be bound by that privacy policy, which shall form an integral part of the terms and conditions of this campaign. The personal information/personal data collected may be used in future by Maxis to provide participants with further information about similar campaigns and information in relation thereto, which subscribers may opt out of by informing Maxis of the participant’s decision to do so. Participants’ personal information/personal data is subject to the safeguards concerning privacy and security of data as set out in Maxis’ Privacy Statement and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Participants shall ensure that all personal information/personal data provided to Maxis are accurate and correct at the point of submission and that Maxis is kept informed and updated of any change in their personal information/personal data.
    1. All decisions by Maxis including but not limited to the selection of Winners and forfeiture of rewards are final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence or claims shall be entertained.
    2. In no event shall Maxis, its related and affiliated corporations, sponsors, agencies and representatives be liable to the participant or to anyone else for any loss or injury or any direct, indirect, special, exemplary, consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, whether in contract, negligence or in tort, arising out of or in connection to the campaign/programme and the Prize including (without limitation) any cancellation or postponement of the campaigns.
    7. Maxis shall not be liable to the participants or for any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by a participant or such other party as a result of participation or non-participation in the campaign/programme or as a result of any act or omission on the part of Maxis.
    8. Maxis is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of our telecommunications network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet.
