Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – Wireless Broadband Services

GENERAL

  1. The Plan(s): comprises of the WBB 18, WBB 48, WBB 68, WBB 88, WBB 128 and WBB 158 plans (WBB Services).
  2. You: Person(s) signing up for the Plan(s).
  3. The Plan(s) and use of the WBB Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”), Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at www.maxis.com.my/tnc/personal and www.maxis.com.my/FUP.
  4. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
  5. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
  6. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, Plan(s) and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s), Service(s) at www.maxis.com.my/tnc/personal), including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Agreement, Services and/or Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Plan(s) and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.

    Eligibility

  7. The Plan(s) is not available for new sign ups and applies only to existing customers on selected wireless broadband services.
  8. You are not allowed to upgrade or downgrade within the Plans under this SSTC. If you wish to change rateplan, you need to sign up to the latest rateplan offers available to our customers as per https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/broadband-plans.html

    Charges

  9. The applicable Charges and rate table guide for the Plan(s) is as set out as per the Appendix. Charges displayed do not include all applicable taxes and GST.
  10. It applies to local data usage. Additional services as subscribed by you shall be charged in addition to the Plan’s applicable charges.

    Our Service

  11. The Plan(s) & WBB Service(s) speed is on a best efforts basis.
  12. Speed depends on factors such as modem capability, location, coverage, distance from communications tower and number of simultaneous users.
  13. Total Internet quota for each Plan(s) is specified in Appendix. Once your allocated internet quota finishes, the speed will be managed to a lower speed until your next billing cycle. To continue enjoying the WBB Service at regular speeds, you may purchase one-time passes (non-recurring) BEFORE you exceed your Plan’s data allocation. Such passes are available through your MyMaxis App accessible through your Mobile Phone.
  14. To ensure all our users enjoy quality browsing experience, we will not assure constant connectivity if you use peer-to-peer or file sharing programs.

    Things we may do to the Service(s)

  15. We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Service(s) for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Service(s) if your usage:
    1. shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;
    2. is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
    3. is not in accordance with the Maxis Fair Usage Policy (at www.maxis.com.my/FUP); or
    4. is for commercial/non-personal purposes.

    Additional Features & Requirements

  16. You must register your CBR (Can Be Reached) mobile number via My Online Account.
  17. The SIM card allocated to you for the WBB Service must not be used with any other devices other than a modem. Maxis reserves the absolute right to suspend and/or terminate the WBB Service if the SIM card is used by you in any other device.
  18. Your bills are available in electronic format if you sign up for E-Billing service via Maxis Online Account and a copy is sent to your nominated email address.

    Roaming

  19. The rates outlined in the Plan(s) structure (as per the Appendix) do not account for usages while on an overseas roaming network. Whilst roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/services/addons/idd-and-roaming/international-roaming.html apply.

    Termination & Suspension

  20. Subject to our GTC, you may at any time terminate the Plan(s) as follows:
    1. By calling our customer care line at 1-800-82-1123 or dial 123 from your mobile;
    2. By walking into our Maxis Centres listed on www.maxis.com.my; or
    3. By writing in to customercare@maxis.com.my
  21. For any planned interruption of Service(s), adequate notice will be provided via notice on our official website at http://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/internet/wireless-broadband.html and/or any other mode of communication as we may deem appropriate.
