Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – Maxis Special Device Offer with AmBank Credit Cards

- The Offer: Sign up with a new Maxis Postpaid 98/128/158/188 and get a mobile device at a special rate under Maxis Device Contract when you make payment with an AmBank Credit Card.
- You: Person(s) signing up for the Offer.
- This Offer is available from 16th August 2021 to 31st October 2021, both dates inclusive (“Offer Period”).
- This Offer is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”) at https://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/general/maxis-consumer/, this Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all https://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/ and www.maxis.com.my/tnc/personal.
- Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
- Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC. Further, this Offer is subject to SSTC – Maxis Device Contract at https://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/postpaid/device-contract/. For clarity, any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC and the SSTC Maxis Device Contract, this SSTC shall take precedence.
- We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, the GTC, Offer and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Offer at https://maxis.com.my/campaigns/ambank-partnership, including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of our Service(s), and/or plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of the Agreement, Services, and/or plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Plan(s) and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.
- The Offer is valid for all purchases/transactions made with an AmBank credit card or AmBank Islamic Credit Card/-i and AmBank cardholders who have received an electronic direct mailer/SMS from AmBank about the Offer (“Invite”).
- A new principal line must be registered under your name and be an active account under postpaid rate plan offered by us under Maxis Postpaid 98/128/158/188.
- By accepting this Offer and subject to our credit check policy, you will enjoy up to one (1) mobile device (“Mobile Device”) under Maxis Device Contract plan at a special price stipulated for the particular Mobile Device provided that you make the purchase of the Mobile Device with a AmBank credit card or AmBank Islamic Credit Card/-i.
- You are ineligible for this Offer if you have any outstanding payments with us.
- This Offer is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
- Maxis reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to confirm if you’re suitable and/or eligible for the Offer.
- The pricing table guide for the rate plan and Mobile Device under this Offer is as set out in your received Invite and on our website at https://maxis.com.my/campaigns/ambank-partnership. Rates displayed do not include all applicable taxes.
- You are responsible for payment of all Charges associated with the Offer.
Deposit and Advance Payment
- A deposit of RM500 is chargeable to non-Malaysians subscribing to the offer.
- Mobile Device advance payment is waived specifically for this Offer. A one (1) month advance payment on your Maxis Postpaid plan may apply.
Mobile Device Minimum Period of Service and Early Termination
- The Mobile Device under this Offer is subject to a minimum period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Minimum Period of Service”). If applicable, with the acceptance of this Offer, any previous device contract you had contracted for with Maxis, shall be deemed terminated as at the Date of Execution and you shall be subject to any early termination charges of such previous contract, if applicable.
- You shall NOT during the Minimum Period of Service:
- terminate your Maxis mobile account or port out to another mobile service provider;
- Suspend your Maxis mobile account;
- Have your Maxis mobile account terminated for non-payment of monthly bills
- change the rate plan you had registered for pursuant to the Offer. However, any upgrade of a rate plan by you is allowed with an upgrade fee where applicable.
- If any of the events in Clause 19 above occurs, you will no longer be entitled to the special rate of the Mobile Device and we shall have the right to immediately terminate your Mobile Device as provided under the Maxis Device Contract at https://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/postpaid/device-contract/, in which you shall be liable to any applicable early termination charge as stated therein.
Additional Features & Requirements
- The Offer cannot be exchanged for cash and the Mobile Device is not returnable upon completion of purchase.
- The Offer is not transferable.
- This Offer is not applicable to Maxis employees (permanent or contract).
- This Offer is not applicable with any other Maxis campaign or promotion.
- This Offer is only applicable to one (1) customer for each registered principal Maxis Postpaid line.
- This Offer is only available via Maxis Telesales Channel via the Invite sent by AmBank.
