Maxis Postpaid Member

  • Maxis Postpaid Member is a supplementary mobile plan linked to an eligible Maxis Postpaid principal line. Each Member line has its own mobile number and data allocation, separate from the principal line’s data.

    You can use the Member line in a compatible device or assign it to a family member. Each Member plan also comes with unlimited domestic calls and SMS, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

  • Maxis Postpaid Member 50 and 60 are available to Consumer, Corporate Individual, SME Individual and Public Sector Individual customers subscribed to any of the following eligible principal plans:

    • Maxis Postpaid 69, 79, 99, 109, 139, 169 and 199 
    • Maxis Unlimited Postpaid 69, 79, 99, 109, 139, 169 and 199 
    • Maxis Postpaid 68, 98, 108, 128, 158, 188, 248 and 368 
    • Maxis Unlimited Postpaid 68, 98, 108, 128, 158, 188, 248 and 368 


    The number of Member lines you can add depends on your principal plan. Please refer to the FAQ below for the applicable limit.

    Eligible customers may add a Member line following a new registration, port-in, prepaid-to-postpaid conversion or eligible rate-plan change.

  • You can sign up through:

    • Maxis App 
    • Maxis Online Store 
    • Maxis Stores 


    You must first have an active and eligible Maxis Postpaid principal plan.

    If you are new to Maxis, porting in your number or converting from prepaid to postpaid, your eligible principal line must be activated before the Member line can be registered.

    Existing Maxis Postpaid customers must ensure that their principal plan is eligible before adding a Member line.

  • Charge Upon sign-up First bill
    Monthly commitment fee - Prorated based on the remaining days in your billing cycle
    One-time SIM/ eSIM fee - RM10

    A one-time RM10 SIM/eSIM fee applies to each new Maxis Postpaid Member line. The fee covers the provisioning of your physical SIM or eSIM and will be included in your first bill. It is not payable upfront.

    Note:

    • You must be at least 18 years old and meet Maxis’ credit requirements.
  • Yes. Both plans come with unlimited domestic calls and SMS to all mobile and fixed networks in Malaysia.

    The unlimited entitlement applies to standard person-to-person usage. It excludes video calls, calls to special-charge numbers and non-standard or commercial usage, such as telemarketing, bulk messaging, auto-dialling and machine-to-machine communication.

    Usage outside the unlimited entitlement will be charged at the applicable rates.

  • Each Member line has its own data allocation, separate from the principal line’s data:

    • Maxis Postpaid Member 50: 500GB of 4G/5G data
    • Maxis Postpaid Member 60: Unlimited 4G/5G data, subject to the applicable Fair Usage Policy

  • Your data speed will be reduced until your next billing cycle once you have used all 500GB.

    You can purchase a 10GB Internet add-on for RM15 to continue browsing at the regular speed. The add-on is valid for 30 days, including when its validity period crosses your billing date.

    The add-on charge will appear on the principal account holder’s bill.

  • No. Maxis Postpaid Member 60 comes with unlimited data and is not eligible for Internet add-ons.

    If you reach the applicable Fair Usage Policy threshold, your data speed will be reduced in accordance with the Fair Usage Policy.

  • Yes. International roaming is available on Maxis Postpaid Member 50 and 60.

    The Member line user can purchase a suitable roaming pass through the Maxis App. The principal account holder may also purchase a roaming pass for the Member line.

    All roaming passes and roaming charges incurred by the Member line will be billed to the principal account.

  • No. All Maxis Postpaid Member lines are billed under the principal account and will appear on the same bill as the principal line.

    Any add-ons, roaming passes and other chargeable usage incurred by a Member line will also be charged to the principal account. The principal account holder is responsible for all charges incurred by the Member lines.

  • Yes, subject to the applicable eligibility and contract terms.

    A change to a plan with a higher monthly commitment is considered an upgrade. A change to a plan with a lower monthly commitment is considered a downgrade.

    The number of Member lines you can retain depends on the limit supported by your new principal plan. If the new plan supports fewer Member lines, the affected Member lines must be terminated or changed to eligible principal plans before the principal plan can be changed.

    For an eligible rate-plan upgrade, an existing standard device contract or Zerolution contract will continue under the new plan.

  • You may consider:

    • Upgrading to an eligible Maxis Postpaid principal plan that supports more Member lines; 
    • Signing up for another eligible principal line and adding Member lines under that account; or 
    • Changing to a Maxis Family Plan. 
    • Maxis Family Plan can accommodate up to 10 mobile lines with unlimited data, together with Maxis Fibre or Maxis Home WiFi under one plan.

  • Your existing Maxis Postpaid Share 39 or 48 line will not be changed automatically. You may continue using it under its existing terms.

    You may choose to upgrade to Maxis Postpaid Member 50 or 60, subject to eligibility. When you upgrade:

    • Any existing rate-plan rebate will end; 
    • Any existing rate-plan contract will end; and 
    • Any existing standard device contract or Zerolution contract will continue under the new Member plan. 


    Once you have changed to Maxis Postpaid Member 50 or 60, you will not be able to switch back to Maxis Postpaid Share 39 or 48.
