Maxis shares the spirit of Kaamatan, bringing essential care to The Hope Village in Tuaran
Maxis marked the Kaamatan season with the community at The Hope Village in Tuaran, Sabah, hosting a festive gathering for its residents. To add meaning to the occasion while supporting the centre's residents, Maxis also contributed vital medical equipment and everyday essentials.
The Hope Village serves as a safe haven for elderly residents requiring close care, sustained through a minimal fee structure to ensure its continuity and dignity of service. The centre also collaborates closely with Food for the Hungry International Malaysia (FHIM) to provide support to children in surrounding communities, focusing on access to education, nutrition and holistic development programmes.
To assist with the centre’s daily operations, Maxis contributed essential medical supplies, including hospital beds, wheelchairs, and an automated external defibrillator (AED). The support also extended to everyday needs, with 80 residents receiving household groceries, while the children were given RM100 vouchers to purchase their school supplies.

True to this spirit of togetherness, the afternoon was ultimately about connection. Maxis volunteers joined the caretakers and the residents for a festive lunch, with games and cultural performances bringing everyone together to celebrate the season.
