Maxis mobile app honoured with iF Design Award 2026 for customer-first experience
Maxis Berhad (Maxis) is proud to announce that its Maxis mobile app has won the highly acclaimed iF Design Award 2026 in the User Experience (UX) discipline, Product UX category. This global award recognises the app's intuitive design, which is central to Maxis's customer-first approach.
Designed around customers’ everyday needs, the Maxis app enables users to manage their mobile and home services with greater ease, and control. The recognition reflects Maxis’ continued focus on creating seamless digital experiences, allowing customers to stay connected with greater convenience and confidence.
Competing against more than 10,000 entries from 63 countries, the Maxis app was recognised by a panel of 129 international design experts. Organised by Germany based iF International Forum Design GmbH, the iF Design Award is one of the world’s most respected symbols of design excellence and has set global design standards since 1954.

Built around simplicity and speed, the redesigned Maxis app makes everyday tasks like paying bills, monitoring usage and managing WiFi settings, faster and more intuitive for customers. Its in-app Maxis AI Assistant further enhances the experience by offering instant support and enabling transactions through natural, conversational chat, reducing the need for calls or store visits.
The app is seamlessly integrated with Maxis’ retail and customer support channels, creating a more consistent and reassuring experience across physical and digital touchpoints. For added peace of mind, it remains accessible even without mobile data, so customers can continue to get the support they need when it matters most.
This marks Maxis’ second iF Design Award, following the recognition of its Hotlink app in 2024. This achievement reinforces Maxis’ position as the only Malaysian telco to receive this prestigious honour for its mobile applications.
