Maxis connects people to urban exploration with "Explore with Maxis"

Maxis today announced the launch of Explore with Maxis, an initiative that connects Malaysians to meaningful experiences through discovery and exploration. The programme debuts with an interactive bus tour in collaboration with Think City, showcasing the heritage, stories, and hidden gems of Downtown Kuala Lumpur – an area revitalised under Warisan KL, a national cultural rejuvenation effort.
Designed exclusively for Maxis customers, the experience combines culture, technology, and local narratives. A live guide will bring each location to life, while Miya – Maxis’ AI-powered assistant in the Maxis app – offers additional storytelling and context. Participants can check in at each stop, access curated content, and collect digital stamps for an engaging and interactive journey.

The curated route begins at Menara Maxis and includes landmarks such as Dataran Merdeka, Masjid Jamek, and Stadium Merdeka. Each stop features guided walkabouts, cultural narration, and activities centred on heritage, art, and food. Highlights include a live Gamelan performance, local cuisine, and interactive drumming sessions.
The immersive bus tours will run on 20–21 December 2025 and 3–4 January 2026. Admission is free and exclusive to Maxis customers who have registered.
Beyond the bus experience, Maxis users can explore the city independently via the Maxis app, where Miya unlocks cultural insights and stories behind each landmark – blending technology and tradition to redefine urban exploration.
