Supporting B40 families and students

Over 150 food boxes were distributed to B40 households in Pasir Mas and Rantau Panjang, Kelantan, who were impacted by floods. In supporting micro-businesses, the food boxes were also packed with assorted Raya cookies that are sold by women entrepreneurs from the same communities, coordinated by Pusat Ekonomi Digital Keluarga Malaysia (PEDi) Kampung Repek, Kelantan.

“I want to thank Maxis for helping families who were impacted by the floods. We are grateful for the aid they provided for the communities in Kampung Tersang, Rantau Panjang, which makes Hari Raya this year even more meaningful,” said Syed Zainal Bin Syed Mamat, a food box beneficiary who is a resident from Kampung Tersang.

Additionally, students from B40 communities received school supplies. A total of 50 students from SMK Padang Garuda in Pahang benefitted, along with information to help them access Maxis’ eKelas programme. eKelas is Maxis’ flagship community programme which provides access to quality education for Primary 4 to Form 5 students through live tutorials, group learning, competitions and digital content that is aligned with the National school syllabus.
