Maxis is conscious of the importance of its connectivity network, and is ready to help its customers stay connected. We are offering free 30GB per month (1GB daily) with 24 hours usage, from 3 July until 31 December 2020.
Is the 1GB pass still available for redemption?
Yes, the pass is available for redemption from 3 July until 31 December 2020.
What can this new Free Daily 1GB Productivity Internet be used for?
The new 1GB of free data can be used for learning and productivity tools as well as most browsing needs, except for social media, video streaming, gaming and music streaming.
How much data can I redeem?
You can redeem up to 30GB data per month (1GB daily) for free. The free daily 1GB Productivity Internet offer is provided to customers over and above their existing data quota. For example, if you have already subscribed to a monthly 30GB package, you will get an additional 1GB per day at no additional charge.
Can I use this daily pass throughout the day?
Yes, the new Free 1GB Productivity Internet pass can be redeemed at any time and can be used throughout the day.
For Maxis and Hotlink Postpaid: Each pass will expire at 11:59pm on the same day.
For Hotlink Prepaid: Each pass is valid for 24 hours from the time of redemption. For example, if you redeemed the pass at 11:00 am it will be valid until 10:59 am the following day.
What happens to my unused data after the 24 hours redemption period is over?
Any unused data will not be carried forward to the next redemption cycle. Please redeem another pass if you wish to continue using more free data.
What sites and applications can I access for free?
In addition to the FREE 1GB pass, 24/7 free access will be automatically granted to selected educational sites, Ministry of Health websites, CRPC calls, and other government apps which include:

This is to ensure that all Malaysians are able to access critical tools and information portals without placing strain on their current data packages from 10 June 2020.

Social media, video streaming, gaming and music streaming sites are not included as part of the free access or free 1GB Every Day pass. Full details of these sites are included in the appendix and are subject to change.

Is this pass available to all the Maxis Customers?
Yes, this pass would be available to all Maxis Postpaid Customers (Consumer and Business plans) as well as Hotlink Postpaid (Including Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre) and Prepaid customers. MaxisONE Prime customers are not included as they are enjoying unlimited internet now.
I am the primary line holder; can I activate the pass for my supplementary line?
Yes, you can activate the pass for your supplementary line or shareline by selecting your supplementary MSISDN in Maxis app.
Can a supplementary line activate the pass on its own?
Yes, the supplementary line can activate the pass.
How do I redeem this data pass?
You can redeem the pass from Maxis app, Maxis Business app, Hotlink Postpaid app and Hotlink app.

Can I redeem this pass in advance for the next day?
No, you have to redeem the pass on the day of usage.
How many times can I claim this free 1GB/Day pass?
This pass can be redeemed only once per customer daily during the MCO period.
How do I know that the free 1GB/Day pass is activated?
You will receive an SMS to confirm that your Pass has been activated. You can also check on your app. You may experience longer activation time due to high demand.
Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre Redemption Steps
I am a Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre (aka Hotlink Flex Plus Fibre) subscriber, do I get to enjoy this 1GB 1 Day Pass?
For Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre (aka Hotlink Flex Plus Fibre) subscribers, instead of a 1GB 1 Day Pass, you will get 30GB pass which is valid for 30 days. The pass is valid for use 24 hours daily. Any usage beyond the 30GB will be deducted from your data pool or any active Mobile Internet passes.
The data pass can be used for learning and productivity tools as well as most browsing needs, except for social media, video streaming, gaming and music streaming (refer to appendix for full list of excluded sites).
How do I redeem the 30GB data pass for Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre?
Maxis app : Click on Get More Data & select FREE 30GB 30-Day Pass under Time Based Pass.
UMB *100# : Dial *100# > Go to Internet & Settings > Go to Mobile Internet > Select Time Based Pass > Select FREE 30GB 30-Day.
How many times can I claim this free 30GB for 30-day pass?
This free pass can be claimed only once every 30 days per customer till 31 December 2020.
