• How can I switch to solar energy with Maxis?

• When can I expect my first bill payment to arrive?

  After you sign up for solar with Maxis, a billing cycle will be assigned to you. Your first bill will contain prorated charges that are calculated based on your installation date.

• What happens if I decide to relocate?

  If you relocate, it's generally more cost-effective to install a new solar system at your new property rather than moving the existing setup. Alternatively, you can sell the solar system with your property, which may enhance its market value.

• What happens if I decide to terminate my contract?

  If you terminate your contract, you will be required to pay a prorated amount to buy out the solar system based on the remaining contract tenure.

• Do I still have to pay my TNB Bills once I install Solar?

  Yes, you will still need to pay your TNB bills as usual. Solar panels help reduce your bill, but they do not eliminate it entirely.

• Are there any upfront costs?

  Under our Subscription Plan, you will be required to pay a one-time Application & Configuration Fee of RM 1,000 together with your first months Maxis Home Solar Bill. 

  For Outright Purchase, you will need to make the full payment once you sign the Technical Proposal and before the installation date.

• What am I paying the Application & Configuration Fee for?

  The one-time fee payable by you to Maxis are for costs associated with the application, configuration, Installation and activation of the Solar PV System at the Premises.

• How much does a solar system cost?

  The cost of a typical solar system in Malaysia ranges from RM 30,000 to RM 50,000+, depending on your energy needs and roof size. But with Maxis, we make going solar affordable and easy:

  Home Assessment:
  Our experts will assess your roof, energy usage, and sunlight exposure to design a solar system tailored just for you.

  Choose Your Plan:
  Select the plan that works best for your financial preferences:

  Solar Plans:
  Fixed Monthly Fee: Pay a set amount (e.g., RM 300/month) based on your system size.
  Outright Purchase: Own Your System: Pay upfront (RM 30,000–RM 50,000+) and enjoy 100% of the savings.

  Once your system is installed, you'll start saving on your electricity bills right away.

• What are the payment methods available for the Outright Purchase Plan?

  For the Outright Purchase Plan, we accept the following secure payment methods:

  • Easy Payment Plan (0% Interest) up to 36-months
  • One-Time Charge: Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Online Banking Transfer (FPX)
