• How do I activate International Direct Dial (IDD) service?

  IDD is a default service; it will be activated for you when your line is activated. It will enable you to make international calls to mobile, fixed line and satellite phone numbers at any point of time as long as your account is active/current.
  

• Do I need to pay any monthly fee for subscribing the IDD service on my mobile phone?

  There is no monthly subscription fee for IDD service.

• Is there a specific dialling pattern that can be used to enjoy cheaper IDD rates?

  Yes, you may choose IDD 132 to save on international calls to fixed and mobile numbers around the globe.

  Just dial 132 00 <country code> <area code> <phone number> to enjoy the cheaper call rates.

• Why is IDD call totally not available (not listed) or partially available for some area codes and/or countries in your IDD list?

  IDD to some countries (or some of its area codes) may be blocked due to high fraud call originated from the country (or selected area codes) were detected. The blocking period are infinite. 

• How do I disable IDD service?

   You can easily disable IDD through the Maxis app:

  1. Log in and select your service line.
  2. Go to Manage Add-On.
  3. Choose International Direct Dial (IDD) and disable it.
     

  
  Important: Keep in mind that IDD must be active for your International Roaming service to work.

• What is IDD 132?

   IDD 132 helps you save more on international calls when you talk longer to both fixed and mobile numbers worldwide. After the first 20 minutes of each call made from Malaysia, all additional minutes are free — so you can stay connected without worrying about extra charges!
  

• Do I need to subscribe to enjoy IDD 132?

  No subscription is required. Just dial 132 before the international number.
  

• Do I need to activate IDD 132 with Maxis before using the service?

  No. Just dial 132 before the international number.
  

• How does IDD 132 provide cost savings for longer calls?

   With Maxis IDD 132, you only pay for the first 20 minutes of your international call. Any time you talk beyond those initial 20 minutes is completely free! This means you can enjoy longer conversations without extra charges after that initial period.

  Here’s an example to show how the savings add up:

• What if I directly dial the international number without 132?

  The standard direct dial rates will apply. Please refer to Maxis Roaming IDD for the full list of IDD 132 rates.
  

• What if the destination I want to call is not listed in IDD 132?

  If your desired destination isn’t on the IDD 132 list, it means this service doesn’t cover that country.
  

• Can I make a video call using IDD 132 when I am roaming abroad?

  Maxis IDD 132 is only applicable for voice calls that can be initiated while you are residing in Malaysia.
