  • Yes, you will be able to enjoy 5G while roaming in selected countries if you have the following:

    1. Active 5G access pass/Upgrade/Signed up to our 5G rate plans.
    2. Purchased a data roaming pass in a 5G enabled roaming country, check here for Maxis and here for Hotlink;
    3. 5G capable device. For a list of 5G capable devices please check here;
    4. 4G LTE SIM. To check, just dial *100*8*5# from your phone.
    5. Have 5G settings enabled on your device.
  • Accessing 5G while roaming depends on several factors, including Maxis' partnership agreements and the local network infrastructure in your destination country.

      • Maxis app. Choose Roaming and the preferred country
    2. Readiness: device & plan:
      Ensure Your Device and Plan are 5G-Ready:
      • 5G-Compatible Device: Make sure your mobile phone is a 5G-compatible device and set to 5G preferred.
      • 5G-Enabled Plan: Confirm that your current Maxis mobile plan supports 5G services.
  • Yes, you will be able to enjoy 5G while roaming in selected countries if you have the following:

    1. Active 5G access pass/Upgrade/Signed up to our 5G rate plans.
    2. To continue enjoying 5G roaming, please active 5G access pass or upgrade to our 5G Maxis Postpaid Plans via Maxis app.
  • As long as you are on iOS 16.4 above, and using any one of the devices listed below, you should be able to connect to 5G when while roaming if 5G network is available:

    • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation or later)
