    1. Why is my plan being updated to Maxis Lite 20?
      We're retiring your current Value Surf 1 Principal/ Value Surf 1 Supp line plan to offer better value. Maxis Lite 20 provides enhanced internet benefits while maintaining your current commitment fee - ensuring you enjoy improved connectivity suited to modern needs.
    2. When will this change happen?
      Your plan will automatically update to Maxis Lite 20 between 9 - 11 March 2026. No action is required from you.
    3. Can I keep my current plan?
      No. Your current plan is being discontinued for all customers. All users will be moved to Maxis Lite 20 or can choose another active Maxis/Hotlink plan.

    1. Is there extra cost for this update?
      No. This update is completely free - you'll continue paying RM20/month.
    2. What happens if I use all 10GB data?
      After exhausting your 10GB:
      • Browse at reduced speed for free, OR
      • Purchase additional data passes via Maxis app
    3. What will happen to my existing add-on services when I move to Maxis Lite 20?
      When you move to Maxis Lite 20, add-on services such as Extra Weekend/ Extra Ten/ Extra Nite/Extra SMS will be automatically discontinued, as they are not supported under the new plan structure. These add-ons were designed for earlier voice and SMS usage patterns. With 10GB of data included in Maxis Lite 20, you can stay connected more flexibly without worrying about call timings, SMS limits, or selected numbers.

     

    1. How will I know my plan changed successfully?
      You'll receive an SMS confirmation immediately after the update completes.
    2. Will my mobile number or SIM card change?
      No. Only your plan updates - your number and SIM remain unchanged
    1. Can I choose a different plan instead?
      Yes! You may switch to any active Maxis Postpaid, Hotlink Postpaid, or Family Plan anytime via:
      • Maxis app
      • Maxis Centre
      • Customer Service (123)
        Note: Once you leave Maxis Lite 20, you can't return to this specific plan.
    2. Is voice-only plans available?
      No. With growing smartphone usage, all current plans include data. Maxis Lite 20 offers balanced voice/SMS/data at your current price.
    1. Why isn't Maxis Lite 20 on your website?
      This plan is exclusively for customers being updating from retired plans. It's not available for new subscriptions.

    Your first monthly commitment will be pro-rated, based on the remaining days in the billing cycle.

    1. Is there a contract for Maxis Lite 20?
      No. Maxis Lite 20 has no lock-in period - you can change plans anytime.
    2. Can I revert to my old plan later?
      No. Discontinued plans aren't available. You may choose other current plans if Maxis Lite 20 doesn't suit you.
