About DataPool

  • DataPool is a shared data pool that allows you to:

    • Share data with family members
    • Use data across multiple devices
    • Access your data while traveling overseas

    For example, with Maxis Postpaid 109, you get 100GB in your DataPool. Each Maxis Postpaid Share 48 line you add contributes an additional 50GB to your DataPool, creating one large shareable data pool for everyone.

Eligibility & Setup

  • All Maxis Postpaid plans – current and previous (68, 98, 108, 128, 158, 188 | 69, 99, 109, 139, 169, and 199) are eligible for DataPool. To start sharing, simply sign up for additional lines with Maxis Postpaid Share 48.

Managing Your DataPool

  • You can control data allocation through:

    • Maxis app: Tap on "Manage DataPool" and select the share line to manage
    • Maxis Self Serve Portal: Click on "Manage Mobile Internet", select "Data Pool" and go to "Manage Share Limit"

    By default, each Maxis Postpaid Share 48 line is allocated 30GB.

  • As the Principal, you have full control over how much data each share line can use. You can set individual data limits for each line (e.g., 30GB for one line, 10GB for another).

  • Without specific limits, all lines will share the total DataPool on a first-come, first-served basis. The default allocation is 30GB per share line.

  • No, only the Principal line owner can set or change usage limits. Share line users can only view their usage.

Account Status & Limitations

  • Yes, share lines can still browse but at reduced speeds. To restore normal speeds, the share line needs to purchase an add-on data pass.

  • No. When the Principal line is barred, all lines within the account (including share lines) will be barred from calls, SMS, and data usage.

Billing & Notifications

  • Your DataPool refreshes at the beginning of your billing cycle.

  • Yes, both you and your share line users will receive:

    • Notifications when the DataPool refreshes at the start of your billing cycle
    • Real-time SMS alerts when allocated data is exhausted
