You can easily subscribe through the Maxis app or Maxis Care. Here’s how (steps apply to both):
- Select your mobile number/service.
- Go to Service Details.
- Choose Value Added Services.
- Select Voicemail to activate.

There is no monthly service fee charge. Any call to 121 from any part of Malaysia to retrieve your Voicemail will be charged at RM0.20 per call; voice mail retrieval while roaming will be charged as roaming call. For roaming call charges, you may refer to www.maxis.com.my/roaming.

If someone calls you and leaves a voicemail while you’re roaming, this is treated as an answered incoming call and charged at roaming rates.
Retrieving that voicemail (e.g., listening to messages) is considered an outgoing call and also charged as per roaming rates.

Any voicemail will be auto stored for 7 days. Once the service is cancelled all the voicemail recorded will be permanently deleted.
However, you may activate a brand new VoiceMail service at Maxis Care: select your service, go to Service Details, select Value Added Services and select Dynamic Voice Mail.

Yes, you can. Just call your own mobile number from any phone. When your VoiceMail greeting starts, press 9 to skip it, then enter your password to access your messages.
