• What is Caller Line Identification Restriction (CLIR)?

  CLIR was a Value-Added Service which allows you to control the display of your mobile number to your call recipients.

• Why did Maxis decommission Caller Line Identification Restriction (CLIR)?

  Maxis decommissioned CLIR to comply with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Numbering Plan requirements, ensuring all calls and SMS deliveries displayed the caller’s actual number.

• When did Maxis stop the CLIR service?

  Maxis stopped offering CLIR service since 30th of June 2023.
  

• Do I have alternative options to CLIR?

  To comply with MCMC’s requirements, Maxis no longer offers services that hide caller numbers.
