• What is Caller Line Identification Restriction (CLIR)?

  CLIR is a Value-Added Service which allows you to control the display of your mobile number to your call recipients.

• Why is Maxis decommissioning Caller Line Identification Restriction (CLIR)?

  Maxis is complying to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Numbering Plan and requirements to ensure that all calls and Short Message Service (SMS) deliveries display the actual caller number.

• When will Maxis stop the CLIR service?

  Maxis will stop offering CLIR service from 30^th of June 2023. Your June subscription fee of RM5 for CLIR will be rebated to you in your July bill.

• I have subscribed to CLIR service, what will happen to my subscription?

  You may continue to enjoy the CLIR service subscription until 30^th June 2023.

• Do I have alternative options to CLIR?

  To comply with MCMC’s requirements, Maxis currently does not offer any similar services.
