About SafeDevice

Maxis SafeDevice is a device protection program that covers risks not included in manufacturer warranties, such as theft and accidental damage. This program is no longer available for new subscriptions as of 1 January 2024.

If you subscribed on or before December 31, 2023, and your subscription is active, your protection will continue with no changes to your benefits. You can review the full Terms & Conditions here.
Coverage Details

Maxis SafeDevice covers:
- Accidental damage
- Attended theft
- Mechanical & electrical malfunction
- Unauthorized usage (up to RM500)
Note for Smartwatch owners: Smartwatch coverage is limited to Accidental Damage only.
Managing Your Subscription

You can terminate your subscription through:
- Maxis Self Serve: Log in to your account, select your service with the SafeDevice subscription; navigate to Services to Add or Remove your subscription.
- Maxis app:
- Customer Service: Call us at 123
Important: Once your subscription is terminated, your device will no longer be protected under the SafeDevice program.

Filing a Claim

For attended theft claims:
- Report within 48 hours by:
- Calling the SafeDevice hotline: 1800-88-6888, or
- Emailing safedevice@maxis.com.my with:
- Your full name
- Registered phone number
- Device model
- A copy of the police report
- For overseas theft:
- Submit a police report and passport copy (showing you were overseas) within 48 hours of returning to Malaysia
- Submit a police report and passport copy (showing you were overseas) within 48 hours of returning to Malaysia

Device Management

Since your SafeDevice subscription is tied to your device's IMEI number, you must update this information when your device is replaced:
- Keep a copy of the Manufacturer Work Order sheet as proof of replacement
- Call us or visit your nearest Maxis Centre to update your IMEI information
