Maxis contributes Hari Raya food boxes to B40 communities in need

In the spirit of giving during Ramadan, Maxis recently distributed food boxes for families from Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur and Tanjong Tokong, Pulau Pinang, in time for Hari Raya.

This was part of the leading integrated telco’s annual festive charity outreach and corporate social responsibility activities.

Food boxes for B40 households in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur and Tanjong Tokong, Pulau Pinang

Maxis contributed 200 food boxes to underprivileged households in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur and Tanjong Tokong, Pulau Pinang. The supplies provide essential nutrition for those in need during this festive season.  

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Maxis, Mariam Bevi Batcha presented the food boxes to the Lembah Pantai households, in the presence of the Minister of Communications, Yang Berhormat Fahmi Fadzil, who is also Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament.

Meanwhile, Maxis Head of Region (Northern), Leonard Chin Ying Choi handed over the food boxes to the community at Tanjong Tokong, in the presence of State Exco for Infrastructure and Transport, Yang Berhormat Zairil Khir Johari during the recently held Program Iftar Jamae Masjid Tuan Guru.

Appreciation for armed forces personnel through MINDEF

Additionally, in a show of appreciation for armed forces personnel who will be on duty during Hari Raya Aidilfiri, Maxis contributed 1,000 kuih raya packs as a token of gratitude for their service. Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Maxis, Mariam Bevi Batcha handed over the contribution to the Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, at a ceremony held at MINDEF.
