Maxis Device Reservation

Understanding Device Reservation

  • Pre-Order is when you purchase a device before its official launch. You complete the full payment upfront, and the device is shipped to you once it's launched.

    Device Reservation is available when a popular model is temporarily out of stock. By paying a RM300 reservation fee, you secure your place in line to purchase the device when stock is replenished. This option may also become available for sold-out pre-order models.

  • Both new and existing Maxis subscribers can make device reservations. To ensure fairness, we limit reservations to one device per NRIC at any given time.

  • We limit reservations to one device per customer to give as many customers as possible the opportunity to get their preferred device, especially during high-demand periods. This aligns with our policy that customers can only purchase one device on contract at a time.

Making a Reservation

    1. Visit www.maxis.com.my and log in to your account
    2. Select your preferred device model
    3. If the device is out of stock, you'll see a reservation option
    4. Complete the reservation process and pay the RM300 reservation fee
    5. You'll receive a confirmation email after successful reservation
  • No, device reservations can only be made online through Maxis Online Store.

  • Device reservations are only available for Normal Device Contract and Zerolution packages on the Maxis Online Store. Outright purchases without a contract are not eligible for the reservation system.

Reservation Fee

  • The reservation fee is RM300, payable when you make your reservation. This amount will be credited to your Maxis account and will appear as a bill payment once you complete your device purchase or cancel your reservation. Please note that the reservation fee is not refundable via cash or bank transfer.

  • No, your reservation fee is credited to your Maxis account as a bill payment. You'll still need to pay any applicable device upfront or advance payments when completing your purchase.

Managing Your Reservation

  • You'll receive communications at two key points:

    • Reservation Confirmation: An email with your reservation details immediately after successful reservation
    • Ready for Purchase: SMS and email notifications when your device is available, including a dedicated link to complete your purchase

     

  • No, changes to your reservation specifications are not permitted. If you wish to reserve a different model, color, or capacity, you'll need to cancel your current reservation and place a new one with another RM300 reservation fee.

  • No, device reservations are not transferable to another person or another Maxis mobile number.

Completing Your Purchase

  • When your device is replenished, we'll notify you via SMS and email with a dedicated link to complete your purchase. You must complete your purchase within 48 hours before the link expires.

  • If you decide not to proceed with the purchase, simply let the dedicated purchase link expire after 48 hours. Your reservation fee will be credited to your Maxis account.

  • Yes! When completing your purchase online, you can select the "Collect at Maxis Centre" option and choose your preferred location. You'll need to collect your device within 7 working days.

  • While we prioritize fulfillment for customers with reservations, we cannot guarantee availability exactly on the launch date. We'll notify you as soon as your device is ready for purchase, which may be before or after the official launch depending on stock allocation.
