When is the scheduled system upgrade?

The scheduled system upgrade will take place from 1am, 13 Dec to 11am, 14 Dec 2020.


Who is impacted by this system upgrade?

Selected customers of Maxis Mobile, Maxis Fibre and Hotlink Postpaid will be impacted by this system upgrade.


How would I know I am impacted by this system upgrade?

If your Maxis Postpaid, Maxis Fibred or Hotlink Postpaid account is impacted in this system upgrade, you will receive a SMS from us.

Here is the content of the SMS: 
We are upgrading our systems to serve you better. Maxis app will be available with limited functions from 12am, 13 Dec to 1am, 14 Dec and not available from 1am to 11am, 14 Dec. If you make any payment on 13 & 14 Dec, it will be posted to your account by 15 Dec. You can still make calls, use mobile Internet and send SMS as usual. Thank you for your patience.


I have multiple accounts are all my accounts impacted as I only receive the SMS on some of my lines?

We are carrying out our system upgrades in stages, only accounts impacted by this scheduled upgrade are informed via SMS.


How will this system upgrade impact?

If you are impacted by this system upgrade, Maxis app will be available with limited functions from 12am, 13 Dec to 1am, 14 Dec and not available from 1am to 11am, 14 Dec for you.

Easy Menu *100# will not be accessible for you throughout the duration of the system upgrade. If you make any payment for your impacted account(s) on 13 & 14 Dec, your payment will only be updated to your account by 15 Dec. if your account is in barring state prior to the system upgrade, pls make the necessary payment prior to the system upgrade to avoid any delay in reinstatement of your services.

Our teams at retail and customer services may not be able to support for any add or change your services and any transaction which involve change of your account details throughout the duration of the system upgrade; it is advisable that make your request after 14 Dec 2020.

You will not be able to make purchases via Maxis Online Store until 15 Dec.

You can still make calls, use mobile Internet and send SMS as usual.


Can I make payment to my impacted account?

If you make any payment for your impacted account(s) on 13 & 14 Dec, your payment will be posted to your account by 15 Dec.

If your account is in barring state prior to the system upgrade, pls make the necessary payment prior to the system upgrade to avoid any delay in reinstatement of your services.


I would like to switch to Maxis, can I do so during this system upgrade period?

This system upgrade is only impacting selected customers’ existing account with Maxis, you may switch to Maxis as per normal.
