Service Termination

  • We are sorry that you are terminating your service (s). For temination, kindly walk-in to Maxis Centres. Take note on the following:

    • If you have a device contract, a one-time Early Termination Fee will be charged; and
    • If you have a promotional rebate, the rebate may be forfeited; if rebate comes with a contract one-time Early Termination Fee will be charged.
       

    To check your device contract and its Early Termination Fee, you may check on your Maxis app. Just go to "Contract" under Service Details of your line; alternatively. 

  • Yes, you are required to pay the outsanding and overdue (if any) prior to terminating your service (s) if any. As for your monthly commitment for the current billing period which has yet to been billed, it will be prorated and charged in the upcoming cycle together with your unbilled usages. Always remember to check your bill statement sent via email/ post for your last bill.

    Do take note that your Value Added Service (VAS) (if any) will not be prorated. 

  • The monthly commitment proration formula is [No. of active days/ no. of days in the cycle] X monthly commitment; Example of calculation for Maxis Postpaid 79 terminating on day 15th of 30-day cycle is [15/30] X RM79.

  • Yes of course you will get a refund for any excess/ deposit amount. However, your refund of excess amount/ deposit will not be given at the point of termination. Please wait for your last bill to be generated after termination and your last bill will be deducted with your excess/ deposit amount, after which if you have remaining balance above RM30, you can request for online refund via https://www.maxis.com.my/en/refund-request/. The refund will be done via telegraphic Transfer (TT) for Local Banks/ Overseas Banks / DuitNow/ Transfer Credit depending on your preference.   • Yes, you are allowed to terminate your Maxis Postpaid 109 as long as you have met the requirements. Since your remaining line is a supplementary line, you have two options:

    1. Upgrade your Maxis Postpaid Share 48 to available Maxis Postpaid principal rate plan; or
    2. Attach your Maxis Postpaid Share 48 to any available principal line that you have (if any).
  • Upon your line termination, you will receive one last bill for the prorated charges from last billing date until service termination date.

    If there are any remaining advance payments that you have paid prior to service termination, it will offset the prorated charges directly. If you have remaining balance above RM30, you can request for online refund via https://www.maxis.com.my/en/refund-request/
