  • DataPool is a data sharing bucket that allows you to share with your family members and across devices, and can also be used overseas. For example, with Maxis Postpaid 128, you get 60GB of data into your DataPool. The 60GB that goes into your DataPool is shareable with your family members and across devices with Maxis Postpaid Share.

    For each Maxis Postpaid Share you will get an additional 30GB. That is a total of 90GB in your DataPool, shareable with your Maxis Postpaid Share line and you can use all this data overseas with MaxisONE World.

  • All Maxis Postpaid customers (RM98 and above) will be eligible for DataPool. All you need to do is sign up for share lines with Maxis Postpaid Share to start sharing your DataPool with your family members and devices.

  • You can use Maxis app to control how much data you want to share with your Maxis Postpaid Share Lines. You can set the amount of data to be allocated individually (e.g. 30GB for the first Maxis Postpaid Share, 10GB for the next Maxis Postpaid Share and so on). By default, each Maxis Postpaid Share Line will be allocated 30GB.

  • Yes, you can control and allocate Maxis Postpaid Share data allocation at

    1. Maxis app - just tap on Manage DataPool, select the share line to manage or
    2. Maxis Self Serve Portal - click on Manage Mobile Internet, select Data Pool and go to the Manage Share Limit option.
  • Both principal and share line will be sharing the total shareable data in the DataPool. Data usages is on first-come-first basis. The default allocation for your share line is 30GB.

  • No, only Principal can set the Usage Limit. Share line can only view their usages.

  • Yes, share line can still browse at the reduced speed. To enjoy normal speed, the shareline needs to buy add-on pass.

  • Barring is applicable for the entire account, all the lines within the account will be barred from call, SMS & data usage.

  • Your DataPool will be refreshed at the beginning of your billing cycle, you and your share line(s) will be notified.

    You and your share lines will also be notified when the allocated data in the pool has exhausted, the SMS notification is real time.

Refund Request

  • This is a form where you may submit your request for refund if there's any Deposit/Excess amount in your previous account with Maxis. The refund will be via telegraphic Transfer (TT) for Local Banks, Overseas Banks , DuitNow and Transfer Credit.

  • The refund request form is open to all current and previous Maxis consumer account holders whom is having inactive accounts with Maxis and there's deposit or an exceess amount left in their deactivated accounts.

  • No, submission MUST be done by the registered owner ONLY.

  • NO, Refund to a 3rd party is NOT allowed.

  • Transfer as payment into related Active/Deactivate account is recommended.

  • Yes, it's open for Local and Foreign customers.

  • We allow refund to other currencies with the exceptions of "Chinese Renminbi",  "New Taiwan Dollar"  & "Korean Won"; these currencies must be converted to USD. 

  • We will contact you within 7 working days for the verification from the submission date.

  • Local bank TT refund will be process within 14 working days and foreign refund is dependent on the Beneficiary /remittance Banker.

  • Bank account number is classified as a sensitive personal data as specified under the PDPA, hence our contact centre shall not obtain such information from customers.
