• What is IP address?

  An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a local network. IP stands for "Internet Protocol," which is the set of rules governing the format of data sent via the internet or local network.

  We have two types of IP addresses:

  1. Private
  2. Public (Dynamic)

• What is the default IP configured?

  In line with providing better secured services, Maxis is privatizing its IPs which will prevent traffic & communication initiated from outside Maxis network to reach our users and it’s free of charge.

• How do I request for Public IP (Dynamic) and why do I need that?

  This is a niche service that is needed by customers who have special requirements such as port forwarding, certain gaming applications and IP CCTV settings. If you require this service, please contact us at 123 or 1 800 82 1123 for assistance.

• Is there any charges for Public IP (Dynamic)?

  The service is charged at RM10/mth.
