How to set up your Maxis router
Here is the step by step guide on how to set up the connection between your Maxis router and modem:
Step 1: Open your web browser.
Step 2: Enter “192.168.1.254” in the URL bar.
Step 3: Input “administrator” under ‘Username’, and the Router’s Serial Number under ‘Password’ to login.
Step 4: Click “Easy Menu”.
Step 5: Click “Quick Setup”.
Step 6: Click “Next”.
Step 7: Navigate to “Mode” and click on the dropdown to select the correct VLAN operating mode provided by our customer care consultant.
Step 8: Input your Maxis Fibre PPPoE credentials provided by our customer care consultant.
Step 9: If your Maxis Fibre package comes with telephone services, please fill up the telephone credentials and click “Next”. If your Maxis Fibre package does not come with telephone services, you can ignore this step by leaving the fields blank and click “Next”.
Step 10: Setup your 2.4Ghz WiFi name and password.
Step 11: Setup your 5Ghz WiFi name and password.
Step 12: Confirm that the information entered is correct and click “Save”.
Step 13: Click “Finish”.
Step 14: Check your internet connection. If the internet is still down, contact our customer care consultant. -

How To Check Maxis Fibre Modem & Router Connection
Here is the step by step guide on how to check on the setup and connection between your Maxis router and modem:
Step 1: Secure all physical cables which include the power cable, LAN cable and Fibre Optic cable.
Step 2: Secure the LAN cable from the modem that connected to the WAN port of the router.
Step 3: Secure the cable from the dect phone connected to the phone port 1.
Step 4: Observe the status of the power, LOS and PON light indicators on your modem.
Step 5: Observe the status of the Power, Internet and Wi-Fi light indicators on your router. -
We provide lifetime warranty for modem as long as you subscribe to Maxis Home Fibre.
