SMEs Engage In Unique Digital Experiences During The Maxis-MRCA Youth M-RACE
As part of its efforts to help businesses go digital, Maxis today organised the Maxis-MRCA Youth M-RACE, an ‘Amazing Race’-like challenge which saw participants taking part in unique digital experiences using Maxis Business Solutions. More than 50 MRCA Youth members took part in the one-day event, which required them to drive to several locations in Cyberjaya and Putrajaya to solve puzzles and challenges as a team, as well as look for treasures using Maxis’ business tools and solutions.
Teams were flagged off from Cyberview Resort & Spa in BMW cars, with the tasks assigned to them digitally via the Maxis mWorkforce solution. Among the challenges the teams had to complete in the M-RACE, included setting up a store, developing a product and selling it on Maxis eCommerce, which is an end-to-end service built for SMEs to drive revenues from ecommerce, and includes webstore development, digital marketing and analytics services. They then needed to deliver the items using mDrive and track the whereabouts of other vehicles as part of the race.
Teams were also required to solve trivia and treasure hunt questions along the way, and engage in interesting activities that demonstrated other Maxis Business solutions such as Maxis Cloud POS, Maxis FlexiShare, Maxis ONEBusiness Fibre and Unity Hotline.
“Now more than ever, going digital is becoming crucial for businesses. Through our wide range of business solutions, we are empowering companies – big and small – with the right tools to help them work, operate and interact more effectively with their customers in this digital age,” said Loong Tuck Weng, Maxis’ Head of Enterprise.
“We organised the Maxis-MRCA Youth M-RACE as a fun and interactive way for young entrepreneurs to experience our business solutions first-hand, so that they can fully understand how each solution can benefit them,” said Kevin Lee, Maxis’ Head of SME.
MRCA Youth, which is made up of members aged 40 years old and below, was launched with the aim to encourage and develop an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the youth. Through this division, MRCA will work towards cultivating and empowering its youth members through education, advocacy and communications.
Maxis partnered with BMW Wheelcorp Premium, Samsung, Setia Haruman, Petronas, GHHS Healthcare and Coca-Cola for this exciting event.
