Shaping Future-Ready Classrooms: Maxis’ First GenAI Training for Educators
Maxis continues to drive meaningful change in education with its first “GenAI for Teachers” workshop. Building on the successful GenAI training sessions conducted for students under Misi Jelajah Digital, 78 STEM teachers from all over Malaysia were taught to harness generative AI tools for everyday classroom needs, including creating engaging lesson plans, developing quizzes, drafting assignments, and even managing co-curricular activities.
Over the course of 1.5 hours, these teachers worked on actionable strategies to seamlessly integrate GenAI into teaching and administrative tasks. The impact of this initiative was immediate and encouraging. Before the workshop, only 20% of participants understood prompt engineering, and 30% felt confident using GenAI tools. By the end, an overwhelming 96% grasped prompt engineering concepts, and nearly 95% felt ready to use GenAI to elevate their teaching practices.
