Maxis Launches Into Malaysia's Biggest Phone Delivery Operation From Midnight
Today, Maxis starts Malaysia's biggest 1-day phone delivery operation. Maxis promises every customer who pre-ordered iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will receive their phones in 24 hours of launch - no matter where they are in Malaysia.
This is part of Maxis’ 24 Hour Express promise this year. All in all, over 1,000 phones will be fulfilled between 12.01am and 11.59pm, 16 Oct. Some customers who selected the Express Delivery also decided to take Maxis up on their “anywhere in Malaysia” promise - deliveries this year have been requested on a boat off the coast of Langkawi, in the interior of Sabah, and in Cameron Highlands, to name a few.
On route to deliver the iPhone to one customer in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur was Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business.
Joe Chia, Asia’s most influential designer 2014, is a big fan of the iPhone and could barely wait to get his hands on the latest model, so he opted for the free delivery service, and was pleasantly surprised to see Dushyan himself at the door of his clothing line workshop located in the Pudu area. “There’s nothing more satisfying than to have your iPhone delivered right to your doorstep, and fast. For us, it’s not just about the delivery speed but the experience that our customers have each time we interact with them, and that includes having the best 4G experience with this iconic phone,” said Dushyan.
Customers also had the option to self-collect their phones under the Express Collection service at any of 40 Maxis Centers nationwide, with a promise of fulfillment within 24 hours.
Mohd Nazrul Abdul Muttalib was understandably thrilled when he became the first Maxis customer to get his/her hands on the iPhone 6s Plus from the KLCC Maxis Centre in under 3 mins.
“I’m a bit tired but feel really excited because I finally got my iPhone 6s Plus, and I got it in the new Rose Gold colour!” he said.
This year, customers who missed the pre-order window can check stock availability via RealView, a Telco-1st in-store phone stock checker on Maxis’ website. Here, customers can find their preferred phone model/colour, with stock information updated hourly. This will help customers find the nearest Maxis Centre where their exact phone model/colour is available and avoid wasting time chasing stocks around town. Maxis would like to inform its Hotlink prepaid customers that it will be embarking on a system upgrading exercise in two phases, of which the first phase will commence on 22 April 2019.
Following its immensely successful Fibrenation campaign in August last year, Maxis continues to elevate its fibre broadband experience with three new superfast Internet speeds – 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 800Mbps – available for both consumer and businesses from today, on top of the existing 30Mbps and 100Mbps plans.
