Celcom Axiata Bhd (Celcom) and Maxis Berhad (Maxis) successfully conducted Southeast Asia’s first 5G Multi Operator Core Network (MOCN) trial, achieving peak speeds of more than 1.1Gbps in an outdoor environment at trial sites in Langkawi, Kedah.

Following its successful launch during Cooler Lumpur Festival held on 12 June at Publika, The Wknd Sessions Live (TWSL) will now make its way to several locations nationwide, featuring performances by noteworthy independent Malaysian acts at various venues. The next TWSL show will be held in Ipoh at Insider Space on 15 August, with performances from SOFT, Molly Dolly and Muck.
TWSL will also make stops in Johor Bahru and Kuching, and return back to KL for its final show on 9 October 2015. To find out the dates and full list of performers for the TWSL shows, please visit www.hotlink.com.my.
The Wknd and Hotlink have also launched The Wknd Recording Fund (TWRF), which is structured to function as a platform for new Malaysian musicians to record, produce, release and market their recorded material. The winner will walk away with a professionally recorded single and an opportunity to perform for a live audience at the final TWSL event, together with the headliners of the final show. During the TWSL shows, Hotlink will also provide facilities for budding musicians with original material to record their submissions to TWRF.
Hotlink will be contributing a special cash prize of RM10,000 to the winner, RM3,000 to the first runner-up and RM2,000 to the second runner-up as funds to continue their efforts in developing their craft.
