Maxis Offers Free Delivery Of iPhones To Customers

In anticipation of the long queues during the upcoming launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in Malaysia, Maxis will be the first telco in the country to personally deliver brand new iPhones at the stroke of midnight to its customers. A select few hundred who pre-order the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus via the Maxis Online Store from 31 October onwards will be offered the Maxis Midnight Express™ delivery service from midnight on 6 November to wherever they may be – at home, out with friends, or even those traveling within the country. For the rest of the customers who also pre-order their devices online, they can choose to self-collect at six Maxis Centres nationwide, namely KLCC, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, between midnight and 4.00 am on 6 November. After this time, the devices will be available at all Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partners (MEPs) across the country.

The iPhone 6 starts at RM659, while the iPhone 6 Plus will be available from RM999, with the iValue 3, 24-month contract plan.

“The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are definitely two of the most popular devices to be launched this year and Maxis is providing the absolute best experience in end-to-end purchasing, ownership and usage for those looking to buy or upgrade. Not only will Maxis iPhone customers be able to maximise the phones’ cutting-edge features on Malaysia’s fastest and widest 4G LTE network, they will also be able to pair it with, for the very first time, our MaxisONE Plan in addition to our affordable iValue plans. We understand the importance of customers wanting to get their hands on these amazing devices as quickly as possible. With our Maxis Midnight Express™ delivery service and unmatched customer experience at our Maxis Centres, we are removing all barriers of long queues and long waiting time.

“The response has been quite overwhelming that our site had experienced very high traffic when we opened for pre-orders at midnight. Our team is working hard to ensure that our customers will be able to pre-order their phones as quickly as possible,” said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business.
