General - Jaringan Prihatin Program


What is the Jaringan Prihatin program about? 

The Jaringan Prihatin program is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia whereby approximately RM2 billion is allocated for Malaysians who are eligible for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (“BPR”), in the form of subsidised telco packages in collaboration with the telecommunication Service Providers.


How will I benefit from the Jaringan Prihatin program? 

If you are an eligible recipient of the program, you will be entitled to credit subsidy, bill subsidy or device subsidy that is jointly subsidized by the Government & your respective Service Provider. 

There are two types of subsidies given by the Government;
Subsidy 1: Monthly data plan subsidy; and
Subsidy 2: Device package subsidy

Total subsidy allocation for eligible recipients are as follows.

Category 1 - married and singles without children

Subsidy 1: RM15 per month for 12 months (RM180) or
Subsidy 2: RM180 device package subsidy

Category 2- married and singles with children

Subsidy 1: RM15 per month for 12 months (RM180) or
Subsidy 2: RM300 device package subsidy


How do I check if I am eligible for Jaringan Prihatin?

You are eligible for Jaringan Prihatin if you have qualified for BPR. You may get more information and check your eligibility for the Jaringan Prihatin program on your Hotlink app, Hotlink Postpaid app, Maxis App or visit https://bpr.hasil.gov.my/. In order to check eligibility, please follow these steps:

Via Hotlink app, Hotlink Postpaid app or Maxis App
Step 1: In your app, click on “Shop” tab
Step 2: Click on “Jaringan Prihatin Program” banner
Step 3: Click on “CHECK ELIGIBILITY”

Via BPR website
Step 1: Using your internet browser, go to https://bpr.hasil.gov.my/
Step 2: Click “log masuk” on the top right of the webpage
Step 3: Enter your IC number and click “semak”


When can I join the Jaringan Prihatin program?

If you are eligible, please complete your registration between 5 May 2021 and 31 July 2021 with Maxis/Hotlink.


How long is the Program Jaringan Prihatin period?

The Jaringan Prihatin program is a 12-month program starting from the time you register. The last date for registration is 31 July 2021.


I am eligible for the Bantuan Prihatin Program but I missed the deadline to join the Jaringan Prihatin program, can I still register?

No, you will not be able to register once you have missed the deadline of 31 July 2021, even if you are eligible for the BPR program.


If I encounter any issues and would like to appeal, how do I go about doing this?

In order to appeal your eligibility, please do so at: https://bpr.hasil.gov.my or 1800-88-2747. For any other matters related to your Maxis/Hotlink, you may contact us directly.


How many times can I opt in for Jaringan Prihatin program?

Each eligible MyKad is allowed to opt in for the Jaringan Prihatin program once only during the registration period from 3 May 2021 to 31 July 2021. However, you are allowed to switch your registration to another service provider during the course of the program.


Who is eligible to participate in the Jaringan Prihatin program?

All Malaysian citizens that are eligible for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (“BPR”) will be eligible to participate in the Jaringan Prihatin program. The primary applicant of BPR of each household is eligible to participate in this program.


Am I eligible for Jaringan Prihatin if I am single with no children?

Yes, as long as you are eligible for BPR, you are considered eligible for Jaringan Prihatin. If you are single with no children, you are entitled to the subsidy allocation where you are able to receive RM15 over 12 months for a monthly data plan, or RM180 for a device package subsidy.


Am I eligible for Jaringan Prihatin if I am single with children?

Yes, as long as you are eligible for BPR, you are considered eligible for Jaringan Prihatin. If you are single with children under the age of 18, you are entitled to the subsidy allocation of RM15 per month over 12 months for a monthly data plan, or RM300 for a device package subsidy.


Am I eligible for Jaringan Prihatin if I am married with no children?

Yes, as long as you are eligible for BPR, you are considered eligible for Jaringan Prihatin. If you are married with no children, you are entitled to the subsidy allocation of RM15 over 12 months for a monthly data plan, or RM180 for a device package subsidy.


Am I eligible for Jaringan Prihatin if I am married with children?

Yes, as long as you are eligible for BPR, you are considered eligible for Jaringan Prihatin. If you are married with children under the age of 18, you are entitled to the subsidy allocation of RM15 per month over 12 months for a monthly data plan, or RM300 for a device package subsidy.


My children are over 18 years old but still live in my household, am I eligible to receive the RM300 device package subsidy?

No, you are only eligible to receive the RM300 device package subsidy if your children are below 18 years old.


I am a Malaysian citizen married to a foreign national with children. Am I eligible for Jaringan Prihatin?

If you are a Malaysian citizen that is eligible for BPR and are married to a foreign national, you are eligible for Jaringan Prihatin. If you have children under the age of 18, you are entitled to the RM300 subsidy allocation, whereby you are able to receive RM15 per month over 12 months for a monthly data plan, or RM300 for a device package subsidy.


How do I know if my registration is successful to be part of Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat?

In order to know if your registration to be part of BPR is successful, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Using your internet browser, go to https://bpr.hasil.gov.my/
Step 2: Click “log masuk” on the top right of the webpage
Step 3: Enter your IC number and click “semak”


Does Jaringan Prihatin apply for foreign subscribers?

No, the Jaringan Prihatin program is only available to Malaysian citizens whom are eligible for BPR.


It shows that I’m not eligible for this program, am I able to appeal?

If you are shown to be not eligible for the Jaringan Prihatin program, you may appeal via: https://bpr.hasil.gov.my or 1800-88-2747.


I am eligible for the Jaringan Prihatin program and I have 2 mobile numbers. Can I claim on both numbers?

Every eligible individual is allowed one (1) claim per National Registration Identification Card (“NRIC”). If you have two (2) mobile numbers, you are free to choose one (1) mobile number in which you wish to enjoy the subsidy.


How is the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy paid to the eligible subscriber?

The Jaringan Prihatin subsidy will be disbursed to the eligible subscribers through the approved subsidised telco package which the eligible subscribers have opted into, via their chosen Service Provider.


Is a Jaringan Prihatin subsidy recipient allowed to claim Prihatin Packages from different Service Providers during the 12 month program period?

Yes, a Jaringan Prihatin subsidy recipient is allowed to claim the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy from up to four (4) different Service Providers over the 12-month program period. Eligible subscribers can be only registered with one (1) Service Provider at any one time.


Can the eligible subscriber participate in Jaringan Prihatin with more than one (1) claim on a single National Registration Identity Card (“NRIC”)?

No, each eligible customer is allowed one (1) claim per NRIC under the Jaringan Prihatin program.


Can a subsidy recipient transfer the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy to any other person(s)?

No. The Jaringan Prihatin subsidy is tied to the individual subscriber’s NRIC and therefore cannot be transferred to a third party.


Can a subsidy recipient withdraw the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy as Cash?

No, you will not be able to withdraw the subsidy as cash.

What are the types of services am I able to claim for the Jaringan Prihatin Program subsidy and how do I register for it?

For every eligible NRIC, you are only allowed to claim one (1) of the following for one mobile number.

I have registered for RM180 (RM15 x 12 months) credit or bill subsidy; can I also claim for device subsidy?

No, every subscriber is only entitled to one (1) Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy.

 

Hotlink Prepaid

How do I register and claim RM15 credit subsidy under the Jaringan Prihatin Program?

Method 1: Via Hotlink App

Step 1: Registration Log in to Hotlink app > Shop tab > Jaringan Prihatin. Enter your NRIC to register. After which, you will receive a confirmation SMS
Step 2: Claim RM15 Go back to Shop tab > click on Jaringan Prihatin again. You will be able to purchase any pass from the list to utilize your RM15 subsidy.

Method 2: Via Easy Menu

Step 1: Registration Dial *555# using the mobile number you wish to register for the subsidy. Enter your NRIC to register. After which, you will receive a confirmation SMS.
Step 2: Claim RM15 Dial *100*55#. You will be able to purchase any pass from the list to utilize your RM15 subsidy.


How can the RM15 subsidy be used?

The RM15 subsidy can only be used to purchase 30-day internet passes. The 30-day internet passes do NOT include HotlinkMU passes.


Is there an expiry date for the RM15 subsidy?

Yes, RM15 subsidy will expire at the end of every calendar month.


When can I start claiming the RM15 subsidy?

You may start claiming straight away after you have successfully registered for the Jaringan Prihatin Program. Do note that all unclaimed subsidy will expire at the end of the calendar month.


Will unclaimed balance of RM15 be carried forward to the next month?

No, all unclaimed subsidies will expire at the end of the calendar month.


Can I claim the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy when account is inactive?

No, your account needs to be active to claim the RM15 subsidy.


I have received a confirmation SMS that I have received the RM15 subsidy, however it is not reflected in my credit balance.

You may check your Jaringan Prihatin subsidy by tapping on your ‘Balance’ on your Hotlink app. Do note that Jaringan Prihatin subsidy expires at the end of every calendar month.


What happens if I received the RM15 subsidy, but do not have enough credit to purchase a 30-day pass? Can I purchase a 30-day internet pass later on?

Yes. You may do it later but remember to use it before it expires at the end of the calendar month. You just need to top up and purchase the 30-day internet pass before the end of the calendar month. To purchase, go to Hotlink app > Shop Tab > Jaringan Prihatin.


I claimed and successfully received the RM15 subsidy, however, the internet pass was not activated. How do I proceed to repurchase the 30-day internet pass?

All you would need to do is, repurchase the 30-day internet pass before the end of the calendar month. To purchase, go to Hotlink app > Shop Tab > Jaringan Prihatin.


What happens when I missed out on claiming RM15 in one of the months, does that mean that I can only enjoy 11 out of 12 months subsidy?

You will be able to claim up to 12 subsidies if the Jaringan Prihatin Program is on-going. The Jaringan Prihatin Program ends on 31st July 2022.

Does claiming the RM15 subsidy extend my validity period?

No, the RM15 subsidy does not come with validity.

 

Hotlink Postpaid, Hotlink Postpaid + Fibre, Maxis Postpaid, Maxis Home 4G WiFi

How do I register and claim RM15 under the Jaringan Prihatin Program?

Method 1: Via Hotlink Postpaid app or My Maxis App

Step 1: Registration Log in to Hotlink Postpaid app or My Maxis App > Shop tab > Jaringan Prihatin. Enter your NRIC to register. After which, you will receive a confirmation SMS
Step 2: Claim RM15 Go back to Shop tab and click on Jaringan Prihatin again. You have to perform a one-time claim of RM15 subsidy x 12months, subsequent subsidies (2nd to 12th month) will be credited into your bill automatically.

Method 2: Via Easy Menu

Step 1: Registration Dial *555# through the mobile number you wish to claim the subsidy. Enter your NRIC to register. After which, you will receive a confirmation SMS

How do I know if I have received the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy?

You will receive a confirmation SMS once the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy every month once it has been credited into your account.


For how many months will I be receiving the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy?

You will be receiving the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy for 12 months.


Will I be given the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy when my account is suspended/barred?

No, you will not be given the RM15 Jaringan Prihatin subsidy when you are suspended/barred.


My NRIC is eligible for Jaringan Prihatin Program. I have share lines. Can my share lines (Maxis Postpaid Share) register for Jaringan Prihatin Program?

Share lines are registered under the same NRIC as its principal line. Once the share line registers for Jaringan Prihatin Program, the other lines under the same NRIC will not be able to register and claim for the subsidy.

Device Offer (with Hotlink Postpaid)

I am eligible for Jaringan Prihatin subsidy, how do I sign up for a the Jaringan Prihatin device offer?

You have to subscribe to Hotlink Postpaid 60 plan to take up this offer. You may walk in to any Maxis stores to register and claim.


Is this offer opened to new and existing subscribers?

Yes, both new and existing subscribers can enjoy this offer.


How do I know whether I am eligible for RM180 or RM300 device subsidy?

For eligible subscribers with children (<18 years old), you are entitled to RM300 device subsidy; while eligible subscribers without children, you are entitled to RM180 device subsidy. This is based on the Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat eligibility through the data provided by LHDN.

No, each eligible citizen is only allowed to take up one (1) Jaringan Prihatin subsidy offer per NRIC.


How can I take up the Jaringan Prihatin device subsidy offer?

Walk into any Maxis stores to sign up today.


Can I take both the device RM180 subsidy and RM15 subsidy x 12 months?

No, each eligible citizen is only allowed to take up one (1) Jaringan Prihatin subsidy offer per NRIC.


Will I be contracted by taking up the Jaringan Prihatin RM180/RM300 Device Subsidy?

Yes, you will be contracted for 12 months or 24 months depending on the offer you selected.


Am I allowed to suspend my Jaringan Prihatin Device Subsidy or change to another mobile number?

No, you are not allowed to suspend or change as your subsidy would have been fully granted upon purchase of your device.

Who is entitled to claim the FREE 2GB/1 hour data pass under the Jaringan Prihatin Program?

Prepaid Subscribers: You must be registered to Jaringan Prihatin Program and have a qualified active 30-day internet pass to be eligible to claim the FREE 2GB/1 hour data pass.

Postpaid Subscribers: You must be registered to Jaringan Prihatin Program and have claimed the RM15 monthly subsidy to be eligible to claim the FREE 2GB/1 hour data pass.


How do I claim the 2GB/1hour free data?

Yes, you may claim the free data anytime of the day. FREE 2GB/1 hour data pass will be active for 1 hour from the time of claim.


Will the unused data be carried forward to the next day?

No, all unused data will expire after 1 hour from the time of claim.


Do I need to claim the free data every day?

Yes, you have to claim it every day.


Are there any restrictions to the usage of the FREE 2GB/1 hour data pass?

No, there are no restrictions to the usage.


Will I be able to claim the 2GB/1 hour free data when I am barred, suspended or in grace?

No, you need have an active mobile line to claim the free data pass.


If I suspend the Jaringan Prihatin Program, will I be able to continue to claim the 2GB/1 hour free data?

No, it is only for subscribers who are registered with Maxis/Hotlink under the Jaringan Prihatin Program.


Suspension, Reactivation and Transferring of Jaringan Prihatin subsidy

I just switched from another service provider to Maxis or Hotlink, can I continue claiming the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy with Maxis/Hotlink?

Yes, just dial *555# to reactivate the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy with us. Just ensure your previous service provider has suspended your subsidy.


I would like to switch my Jaringan Prihatin subsidy to another mobile number. How do I do so?

You will first need to suspend your existing Jaringan Prihatin subsidy on your first mobile number, then reactivate it on the new mobile number.

To suspend the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy

  1. From Maxis/Hotlink mobile line:
    Dial *511# from the mobile number you would like to suspend the Jaringan Prihatin Program.
  2. From another service:
    Please refer to your previous service provider for suspension (or termination) process.

To reactivate the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy on a Maxis/Hotlink mobile line:
Dial *555# from the mobile number that you would like to reactivate the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy


When will I start receiving the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy after successful reactivation?

Your subsidy claim will not be interrupted. Ie. If you have not claim for the month, you will be able to claim in the same month after successful reactivation.

Scenario A:
I suspended my Jaringan Prihatin subsidy in June 2021 (before receiving the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy for June 2021), will I still be entitled for it if I reactivate in June 2021?
Yes, you will still be entitled to claim in the same calendar month.

Scenario B:
I suspended my Jaringan Prihatin subsidy in June 2021 (before receiving the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy for June 2021) and reactivated in November 2021. What happens to the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy from June to November (6 months unclaimed)?
You will be able to start claiming your subsidy in November 2021. The final month to claim your subsidy is July 2022.


Am I allowed to switch mobile numbers under the Jaringan Prihatin Program?

You are allowed to switch 3 times after first registration as long as it is registered under the same NRIC. However, only 1 switch is allowed every 30 days.


I can’t reactivate Jaringan Prihatin subsidy. What should I do?

Please ensure that the Jaringan Prihatin subsidy on your previous mobile line has been successfully suspended/terminated before reactivation.


I can’t suspend my Jaringan Prihatin subsidy. What should I do?

Do note that you are not allowed to suspend if you have opted for device subsidy as it would have been fully granted upon purchase of your device.


Update or Check NRIC Registered with Maxis/ Hotlink

How do I verify that my NRIC is registered to my mobile number?

To check whether your NRIC is correctly registered to your mobile number, send CHECK to 21555; e.g. type CHECK 500909140009 and send to 21555.

You will be notified on whether the NRIC you entered matches your registered NRIC.


The NRIC registered to my mobile number is inaccurate. How do I update my registered information?

You may walk-in personally to any Maxis Centre with your NRIC to update your registered personal details. Please visit personally with your valid NRIC.


I wish to transfer the ownership of my mobile number to another person. How do I do so?

You may walk-in to any Maxis Centre to transfer ownership of your mobile number. Both the current and new owner of the mobile number have to be present to perform the transfer of ownership.
