What are the type of risk that is covered under Maxis SafeDevice?
Maxis SafeDevice program, is covered with 4 type of risk, which are:
i) Attended Theft
ii) Accidental damage
iii) Mechanical & electrical malfunction
iv) Unauthorized usage up to RM500
How do I subscribe to Maxis SafeDevice?
We have 2 ways that you may subscribe to this service:
i) Maxis center (upon signing up with device)
ii) Customer service (before 10 days, of signing up your new device)
Who can sign up with Maxis SafeDevice?
All of the consumer can sign up with Maxis SafeDevice if they meet the criteria:
i) You must be an existing Maxis postpaid customer;
ii) You must subscribe to the protection within 10 days for any new device that you have purchased from Maxis; and
iii) Your device must not be lost or stolen and must be in good working condition when you subscribe the protection plan.
*Apple Watch & iPad on Zerolution, free devices or device without device contracts are not eligible for Maxis SafeDevice subscription.
How do I file for a claim if my phone is stolen or damaged?
Here are the processes:
Attended theft (not due to own negligence)
i) Contact Maxis Safe Device hotline at 1800-88-6888 to file a lost.
ii) You are required to submit a copy of police report within 48 hours.
iii) If theft occurs in overseas, you are required to submit a copy of police report and a copy of your passport evidencing that you were overseas, within 48 hours upon returning to Malaysia.
Helpful tips for stolen phone.
i) Contact Maxis Safe Device hotline at 1800-88-6888 to file for a service request.
ii) Once your service request has been approved, you are required to hand in your damaged device upon receiving your replacement device.
Can I reactivate my SafeDevice subscription once I've successfully terminated my subscription?
No. You cannot reactivate SafeDevice once it is terminated.
