VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) allows you to make phone calls using your internet connection instead of a traditional phone line. With Maxis Home Fibre, your VOIP service comes integrated with your internet package, allowing you to make calls through the same connection that provides your internet service.

Yes, VOIP is included as part of your Maxis Home Fibre package. There is no additional monthly fee for having the service - you only pay for the calls you make.

Your VOIP service will be activated when your Maxis Home Fibre is installed. To use it:
- Connect a standard telephone to the phone port (RJ11) on your router using a standard telephone cable
- Once connected, you should hear a dial tone when you pick up the handset
- Your phone is now ready to make and receive calls

Most standard telephones (including cordless DECT phones) are compatible with our VOIP service. Simply connect them to the phone port on your router using a standard RJ11 telephone cable.

Yes, you can connect multiple phones throughout your home by using telephone splitters or your home's existing telephone wiring. However, you will still have only one phone number as only one VOIP service is provided per Maxis Home Fibre connection.

Yes, you can dial emergency numbers like 999 using your VOIP service. However, please note that if your internet connection is down or during power outages, your VOIP service will not function. We recommend having a mobile phone as backup for emergency situations.

You can enable or disable IDD by contacting our customer service or visiting any Maxis Center. For security reasons, this change can only be made by the account holder with proper verification.

No, each Maxis Home Fibre connection supports only one VOIP service with one phone number. If you need additional lines, you may need to consider alternative solutions.

If your current number is causing you inconvenience, you can request a number change by contacting our customer service or visiting any Maxis Center. Please note that a service fee may apply for number changes.

Please check the following:
- Ensure your phone is properly connected to the telephone port (RJ11) on your router
- Verify you're using a standard RJ11 telephone cable
- If using a cordless phone, make sure it's charged and properly paired with its base
- Try a different phone to determine if the issue is with your phone or the service
- Check that your internet connection is working properly

- Ensure all cables are securely connected
- Try a different telephone to determine if your current phone is faulty
- Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in

The most common reason is that International Direct Dial (IDD) service hasn't been activated on your account. Please contact our customer service to enable this feature. If IDD is already enabled but you're still having issues, our support team can help troubleshoot further.

Yes, VOIP service requires both power and an internet connection to function. During power outages, your VOIP service will not work unless you have backup power for both your router and internet equipment.
