Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – MaxisONE World/Maxis FamilyRoam Terms and Conditions

General

  1. 1. The Plan(s): For customers of the MaxisONE Plan 98, MaxisONE Plan 108, MaxisONE Plan 128, MaxisONE Plan 158, MaxisONE Plan 188, MaxisONE Plan lite, MaxisONE Plan start, MaxisONE 4G Combo 148/198 and MaxisONE PRIME (“MaxisOne Plan(s)”).
  2. Pass: Is a MaxisONE World or a Maxis FamilyRoam pass which is supplement to and customer of the Plan(s) that allows customers of the Plan(s) to have internet browsing, unlimited calls and SMS whilst travelling in selected countries as set out on our website at http://www.maxis.com.my/oneworld
  3. You: Person(s) subscribing to any of the MaxisONE Plans as set out in Clause 1 above.
  4. We may from time to time launch different Pass or make amendment to existing Pass under which we provide to you the Service(s) and may be subject to additional applicable terms and conditions.
  5. The use of the Plan(s), Pass and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”), Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at www.maxis.com.my/tnc/personal
  6. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
  7. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
  8. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, Plan(s), Pass and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s) and Service(s) at www.maxis.com.my/tnc), including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Services and/or Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Plan(s) and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.

    Eligibility

  9. You must be a subscriber of the MaxisONE Plan(s) or the MaxisONE Share Plan.
  10. The Pass is not available to you if you are travelling on the network operator(s) which are not under the coverage.
  11. This Plan(s) will not be available to you if you have any outstanding bills with us.
  12. This Plan(s) is not applicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber

    Charges

  13. The Pass structure as per the Appendix and as set out and published on our official website at www.maxis.com.my


    Limitless Minutes and SMS’

  14. You acknowledge and accept, for the voice & SMS’ allocated with the Plan(s) that the unlimited minutes and SMS’ applies to:
    1. Roaming mobile usage (Maxis to ON-net and OFF-net calls and SMS, Maxis to local country calls and SMS, & Maxis to other country calls and SMS) calls to fixed lines, video calls.
    2. Standard person-to-person calls or texts and not for any commercial and/ or non-personal usage;
    3. Non multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling, re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, bulk messaging, application-to-person communication, continuously call forwarding, auto-dialling, machine-to-machine communication (including by using your SIM card in any other devices), Cellular Trunking Units (CTUs), or any other activity we consider to be non-standard usage.
  15. The limitless/unlimited minutes and SMS’ excludes premium numbers and satellite calls.

    Things we may do to the Service(s)

  16. We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Pass and/or Plan(s) for such period of time as we deem fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Pass and/or Plan(s) if your usage:
    1. Shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;
    2. Is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
    3. Is not in accordance with Maxis Fair Usage Policy (at www.maxis.com.my/FUP); or
    4. Is for commercial/non-personal purposes.


    Mobile Internet Package allocation

  17. For data allocated with the Pass, you acknowledge and accept:
    1. where there is any usage exceeding the packaged mobile internet allocations, your usage will be drawn from your mobile internet package within the Plan(s) with no additional charges;
    2. You will experience data browsing at reduced speeds and with no EXCESS charges if any usage exceeds the allocated mobile internet package,
    3. You may purchase one-time/non-recurring data passes when you exceed your mobile internet package allocation. Such upgrade is available through your UMB menu or MyMaxis Apps and accessible through your Mobile Phone or, other available Devices or channels as we may inform you from time to time. Maxis reserves the right to update the data passes offered.


    Roaming

  18. The rates outlined in the Pass(s) structure (as per the Appendix and set out on our website at www.maxis.com.my) do not account for usages while on an overseas roaming network which are not under coverage. Whilst in outside coverage countries, the prevailing data roaming charges at https://www.maxis.com.my/roaming will apply;

    Additional Requirement for subscription to Maxis FamilyRoam pass

  19. Eligibility
    1. You must be a subscriber of the MaxisONE Plan(s) or the MaxisONE Share Plan.
    2. The Maxis FamilyRoam pass can only be shared betweena principal and four (4) supplementary line holders in the same account which shares the same data pool. If there is any usage exceeding the Mobile Internet allocation of the Maxis FamilyRoam pass, the supplementary line holder’s data usage will be drawn from the shared mobile Internet package with no additional charge.
    3. The Maxis FamilyRoam pass can only be used and shared between a principal and four (4) supplementary line holders in the same country.
    4. The Maxis FamilyRoam pass can be activated by either the principal or any of the four (4) supplementary line holders.
    5. The Mobile Internet allocation of the Maxis FamilyRoam pass for each line is not shareable.


    Additional Requirement for subscription to MaxisONE Share Plan

  20. Only if you are on the MaxisONE Plan 98 or MaxisONE Plan 108 or MaxisONE Plan 128 or MaxisONE Plan 158 or MaxisONE Plan 188 will you be eligible to sign up for the MaxisONE Share Plan as a supplementary plan, where the MaxisONE Plan 98 or MaxisONE Plan 108 or MaxisONE Plan 128 or MaxisONE Plan 158 or MaxisONE Plan 188 will act as the principal plan. A principal and a supplementary line holder can subscribe to the Pass respectively and the Mobile Internet allocation of the Pass is not sharable.
  21. If there is any usage exceeding the Mobile Internet allocation of the Pass, the supplementary line holder’s data usage will be drawn from the shared mobile Internet package within the MaxisONE Share Plan with no additional charged. The data usage is on a first come first use basis, whether usage is by the principal line holder or supplementary line user. The principal line holder may set a usage limit for each MaxisONE Share Plan line.

    Termination

  22. Subject to our GTC, a principal line holder may at any time terminate the Plan(s) and/or Passes as follows:
    1. By calling our customer care line at 1-800-82-1123 or dial 123 from your mobile;
    2. By walking into our Maxis Centres listed on www.maxis.com.my; or
    3. By writing in to customercare@maxis.com.my
