Service Specific Terms & Conditions ("SSTC") - Maxis Interim Plan

General

  1. The Plan(s): Maxis Interim Plan
  2. You: Person(s) signing up for the Plan
  3. The use of the Plan(s) and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”), Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/
  4. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
  5. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
  6. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, Plan(s) and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s) and Service(s) at www.maxis.com.my/tnc), including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Services and/or Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. 


    Interim Plan Features and Conditions

  7. Upon our acceptance of your application and your request to Port your identified Mobile Numbers to the respective Plan(s), you acknowledge and agree that the Mobile Numbers that are successfully Ported to us shall be temporarily placed onto an interim plan (“Interim Plan”) pending the successful Porting of all your identified Mobile Number to the respective Plan(s).
  8. The features and terms of the Interim Plan are as follows:
    1. The Interim Plan shall be for a period of thirty (30) days (“Interim Period”) for Unlimited Minutes and SMS and 5GB data.
    2. The Monthly Commitment Fee of RM98.00 for the Interim Plan shall be waived for the Interim Period.
    3. You acknowledge and accept that, for the voice & SMS allocated with the Interim Plan, the unlimited minutes and SMS’ apply to:
      1. domestic mobile/fixed ON-net (Maxis to Maxis calls and SMS’) & OFF-net (calls and SMS’ from Maxis to other Service Provider) usage (excluding, video calls, calls to special numbers, e.g. 1-300/1-800/600, 121, TM100 & 080-prefix numbers for border calls to Brunei);
      2. are for standard person to person calls or texts; and
      3. it is NOT meant for multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling, re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, bulk messaging, application-to-person communication, continuously call forwarding, auto-dialing, machine-to-machine communication (including by using your SIM card in any other devices), Cellular Trunking Units (CTUs), or any other activity we consider to be non-standard usage.
    4. In relation to the identified Mobile Numbers requested for Porting by you, you agree that during the Interim Period, you shall not Port such identified Mobile Numbers to prepaid Service(s), port-out of the Plan(s) and/or change the identified Mobile Numbers requested to be Ported to the Plan(s) by you.
    5. You agree that you shall be liable to bear the charges of any external subscription, activation of value added services, add-ons, International Roaming (including Roam 120) and/or International Direct Dial (IDD) Bundle (including 132) (“Other Subscriptions”). These charges will be added to the bills issued to you.
    6. You will experience data browsing at reduced speeds and with no EXCESS charges if any usage exceeds the allocated mobile data.
    7. The mobile internet package allocated within the Interim Plan is exclusively for domestic usage only.
    8. You accept that you are not allowed to purchase Mobile Internet pass(s) under the Interim Plan.
    9. You accept that you are not allowed to purchase any device, Mobile Phone or other contract offer or supplementary line under the Interim Plan
  9. In the event the transfer of all your identified Mobile Numbers to the Plan(s) is not successful upon the expiry of the Interim Period, you may cancel your application for the Plan(s) Upon the expiry of the Interim Period, you agree that you shall be liable for the prorated charges of the Monthly Commitment Fee including charges for Other Subscriptions for the Mobile Numbers that are on the Interim Plan commencing from the day after the expiry of the Interim Period until the date:-
    1. you subscribe to any other Maxis’ Service(s) and such Service(s) is made available to you; or
    2. your Mobile Number is successfully Ported to another mobile service provider; whichever applies.
  10. You agree and consent to move to a final plan and its relevant terms and conditions once the process under this Interim Plan is complete 


    Things we may do to the Service(s)

  11. We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Service(s) for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Service(s) if your usage:
    1.  shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;
    2.  is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
    3.  is not in accordance with the Maxis Fair Usage Policy (at www.maxis.com.my/FUP); or
    4.  is for commercial/non-personal purposes. 

    Charges and Rates

  12. The charges and rates for this Plan is as set out on our website at hhttps://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/personal/appendix/maxis-interim-plan/ apply.



    Roaming

  13. The rates outlined in the Plan(s) structure (as per the Plan Appendix) do not account for usages while on an overseas roaming network. Whilst roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges at https://www.maxis.com.my/lifestyle/roaming-idd/international-roaming/ apply. 



    Termination

  14. Subject to our GTC, a principal line holder may at any time terminate the Plan(s) as follows:
    1. By calling our customer care line at 1-800-82-1123 or dial 123 from your mobile;
    2. By walking into our Maxis Centres listed on www.maxis.com.my; or
    3. By writing in to customercare@maxis.com.my
