What is Spotify Premium?
Spotify Premium is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs to find the right music for every moment – on your phone, your computer, your tablet and more. It is ad-free, and allows for offline listening at high definition sound quality. Spotify Premium is priced at RM14.90/month.
What is the offer?
You can now pay for Spotify Premium subscription together with your phone bill via Maxis Direct Billing, no credit card required. The subscription charges for Spotify Premium will be included in your monthly Maxis bill.
Who can subscribe to this service?
All Maxis Postpaid customers who have an active personal mobile number can subscribe for this service. For Business accounts, kindly check with your respective company policy.
Please note that customers on Maxis and Hotlink Wireless Broadband and Maxis Fibre Internet/Maxis Home Fibre Internet are not eligible to subscribe for this service.
How do I subscribe to Spotify Premium via Maxis?
Step 1: Go to www.spotify.maxis.com.my
Step 2: Create a new Spotify user ID OR use an existing ID by choosing “I am already using Free Spotify with Advertisements”, then click the “PROCEED” button.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Spotify page to Login OR Sign Up for Spotify.
Step 4: Once you have completed the Login/Sign Up stage, you will be redirected back to Maxis. Please proceed to click the “CONFIRM” button to confirm the subscription.
Step 5: You will receive an SMS regarding your service activation, so you can start enjoying Spotify Premium!
How do I know if my subscription to Spotify Premium is successful?
You will receive a confirmation SMS after you have successfully subscribed to the service.
I have just subscribed to Spotify Premium 30 days free trial. What happens next?
Spotify Premium service will automatically renew after 30 days and you can continue to enjoy Spotify Premium at RM14.90 per month. You have the option to unsubscribe from the service before renewal date.
Maxis have charged me in full (RM14.90) for Spotify Premium in the last bill statement. I have registered and used it for less than a month. Why am I not pro-rated for the service?
Spotify is a third party service that Maxis is exclusively bringing to our customers and the full charge for Spotify is taken on the very first day of subscription. That is why we are not able to pro-rate this service.
Once I have registered, can I access Spotify via other Internet or Wi-Fi connections?
Yes, Spotify is accessible via other Internet and Wi-Fi connections.
Can I access my Spotify Premium account on other supported devices?
Yes, you can access your Spotify Premium account on other supported devices. However, only one device is able to stream music on that account at any one time.
Will streaming on Spotify app consume my Internet quota?
Yes, streaming Spotify app will consume your Internet quota. Alternatively, you can also stream Spotify app over a Wi-Fi connection.
What will happen after I unsubscribe to Spotify Premium?
Upon reaching the renewal date, your Spotify account will be downgraded to the ‘Spotify Free’ version. Your playlist will be maintained but you are unable to play songs on-demand. Your offline songs will also be deleted and you will have to listen to advertisements in between songs.
