Rumah-Rumah Kebajikan Masing-Masing Menerima RM10,000, Hasil Kutipan Derma Kempen Digital Maxis

 

Ia adalah satu perkara yang amat istimewa apabila rakyat Malaysia bekerjasama untuk satu tujuan yang baik. Berikutan kempen ‘Share The Light’ yang diadakan bulan lalu bersempena dengan perayaan Deepavali, 10 buah rumah kebajikan di seluruh negara telah menerima RM10,000 setiap satu, hasil daripada kempen tersebut.

Sebelum ini, Maxis telah bekerjasama dengan LINE untuk memberi kuasa kepada rakyat Malaysia untuk menderma secara digital bersempena musim perayaan. Orang ramai hanya perlu menyaksikan video ‘Share The Light’ dan memuat turun pelekat Deepavali percuma daripada LINE. Bagi setiap muat turun, Maxis berikrar untuk menderma RM1 kepada 10 rumah kebajikan kanak-kanak terpilih di seluruh negara. Jumlah muat turun kini telah melebihi 100,000.

"Kami terharu dengan sambutan yang amat menggalakkan yang telah kami terima untuk kempen ini. Kami dapat mewujudkan impak yang positif dan memberi kuasa kepada rakyat Malaysia untuk menggunakan platform digital untuk menyalurkan derma mereka,” kata Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Ketua Perniagaan Pengguna Maxis.

Selain daripada menyampaikan cek ke rumah-rumah kebajikan dari ketua wilayah masing-masing, kakitangan Maxis turut menganjurkan pelbagai permainan dan aktiviti untuk para penghuni, yang terdiri terutamanya daripada kanak-kanak. Rumah-rumah kebajikan termasuk Vision Home (Perak), Bethel Children (Johor), Sunshine Cottage (Kedah), Angels Children’s Home (Kuala Lumpur), Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Sayang (Selangor), Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal (Pahang), Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children’s Centre (Melaka), Shan Children’s Home dan Children’s Protection Society (Pulau Pinang); dan Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).
