Hotlink Gives Runners A Boost Of Entertainment At The Music Run

If you enjoyed running, music or even just a fun day out on an early Sunday morning, then you would have been amongst the thousands who made their way to the Selangor Turf Club in Sungai Besi last Sunday, 23 March, for a run to their favourite beats at The Music Run (TMR) by AIA. One of the most unique and exciting 5km run ever held in Malaysia, TMR provided an outlet for participants to run, walk or even dance through five 1km music zones representing different music genres: Pop Divas, Indie Rock, Pop Kings, Hip Hop and Dance. Hotlink, the prepaid brand of Maxis, was the Official Telco Partner for TMR.

During the event, sprightly runners put on their running gear early in the morning and took part in all kinds of music-related activities at Hotlink’s Pop Kings zone, including ‘selfies’ and photos with celebrity impersonators. Many also posed with cut-outs of popular male pop singers such as Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke. At the end of the 5km, runners were also able to redeem free ice cream at Hotlink’s booth.

Maxis launches three new scholarships in building future technology and innovation leaders

In its commitment to building tech-savvy and forward-thinking leaders, Maxis has launched three new scholarships to support the aspirations of bright and deserving young individuals. Candidates can apply for the Maxis Women in Tech Undergraduate 2020 Scholarship, Maxis Tech Undergraduate 2020 Scholarship and the Maxis Young Leaders Undergraduate 2020 Scholarship. Due to the overwhelming response received from applicants, the initial submission deadline of 31 August has now been extended to 14 September to allow more students to apply.
