| Karen Kong’s debut album took 2 years
of fine craftsmanship to complete. As a newcomer
in the musical scene, Karen’s album
was lovingly put together by some of the country’s
finest musicians. Among the pool of talented
musicians that took part in this production

Asmin Mudin, MACP’s Most Promising Musician

| The concept of the album focuses on Karen’s
character and personality as a young Asian
girl. The lyrics in her songs revolve around
friendship, love, family values, unity and
hope. As a young Malaysian, Karen represents
the essence of today’s Generation-Y
youths, growing up in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual
society. <Mulakan> is a pop-album that
combines music of different genres together
to reflect the diverse musical taste of today’s
young listeners. |
