Your mobile phone displays this when the coverage is weak or if you are accessing another network instead of the one you subscribed to. Before you leave for the country you intend to visit, check the Roaming Countries list of network operators.

10. What charges do I have to bear if I make a local call in the roaming country which I am visiting?
You will be charged the local airtime rate of the GSM operator and any roaming surcharge payable in your roaming destination.

11. When I am roaming in China, what number should a caller in Malaysia have to dial to reach me?
Your caller simply dials your mobile phone number as if you were in Malaysia. You will be charged to receive the call.
