Organiser and Eligibility

1. This Quiz Kekasih Seleb Murai Trivia Contest ("Contest") is organised by Maxis Mobile Services Sdn Bhd ("The Organiser") (formally known as Malaysian Mobile Services Sdn Bhd) and is open to all Hotlink and Maxis subscribers.
   
   Participants must:
   1. Be at least 18 years of age. Participants below the age of 18 must obtain parental consent to participate;
   2. Have an account which is current throughout the Contest Period;
   3. Not have an account which has been suspended or terminated by the Organiser for any reason.


2. The following group of persons shall not be selected as winners of this Contest:
   1. Permanent and / or contract employees of the Organiser (including its associated and related companies) and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses); and / or
   2. Representatives, employees and / or agents of advertising and / or promotion service providers of the Organiser, and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses).
   3. The Organiser's associated agencies, dealers, distributors, sponsors

Contest Details & Terms and Conditions

1. This Contest will run from 8th February 2012 (from 12.00am) until 6th March 2012 (up to 11.59pm) ("Contest Period"). Participants can participate to answer as many questions as possible within the said Contest Period.


2. To participate:
   • Dial *188
   • Contest will be in Bahasa in Voice form.
   • Questions will have three answer options.
   • You can select an answer by pressing 1, 2, or 3 on the phone keypad.
   • You will get only one chance to answer the question. You will be taken to the next question if you give a wrong answer or a correct answer.
   • In the case where an invalid answer or no input is provided, the question will be repeated and you will be given another chance to answer the question. If after two repetitions of invalid answers or no input you will be taken to the next question.
   • Every right answer will get the subscriber +10 (addition of ten) points and every wrong answer will cost 0 (Zero) points.
   • At the beginning of each call the current total score of the user will be played out.


3. The supplementary line holder may participate in the Contest with the consent of the principal line holder. Should the entry submitted by a supplementary line holder be a winning entry, the prize will be awarded to the principal line holder.


4. Charges of RM0.30 per minute apply for this Contest. Calls are in 30 second blocks.


5. To check scores at any time, call *188.


6. The prizes for this Contest consist of:
   • Grand Prize : iPhone 4S + RM100 Parkson Voucher
   • Weekly Prize : RM100 Parkson Voucher


7. In any of the winning category, if there are two (or more) participants who have accumulated the same amount of points, the participant whom has accumulated up to that amount of points first will be chosen as the winner.


8. Winners will be notified via their mobile phone numbers 30 business days after the Contest Period is over. Participants are encouraged to keep their mobile phones activated during this period. The Organiser shall not be held responsible or liable in the event that the winner(s) cannot be contacted for any reason whatsoever; following efforts by the Organiser to contact the winner(s). In the event the Organiser is unable to contact the particular winner after attempting to do so for 3 consecutive days, that winner will automatically be disqualified.


9. In the event a winner fails to collect his or her prize one month (30days) after notification, he / she waives any and all claims to that prize which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of the Organiser.


10. The Organiser reserves the absolute right to substitute or replace any of the prizes with another of similar value at any time, if the stated prizes are not available due to unforeseen circumstances, without any prior written notice and all prizes are non-transferable nor redeemable for cash.


11. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes (if any), fees or charges payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received.


12. All prizes are used/accepted entirely at the risk of the winner at all times and the Organiser excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law.


13. By participating in this Contest and accepting this Terms and Conditions, the Organiser has the right to utilize the winner's detail and personal information provided including but not limited name and photograph for promotional or advertising purposes or any other use as it deems fit and without prior notice or consent required from the winner and without further compensation and notice, unless prohibited by law.


14. The Organiser reserves the right to, at any time without prior notice to vary, add to or amend any of the Terms and Conditions of this Contest (including the prizes and/or discontinuing the Contest at any time) and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting therefrom.


15. The voice recognition system for this Contest is not 100% infallible or foolproof. The Organiser shall not be liable to the participant or any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by a participant or any other party in the event the voice recognition system for this Contest does not recognize the participant's voice command or input of "one", "two" or "three".


16. The Organiser, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors and representatives are not responsible for misuse of any prize, or for any claims, liability, loss or damage arising out of or in connection with any contest promoted by the Organiser.


17. The Organiser shall not be liable to the customer or any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by a customer as a result of participation or non-participation in the Contest or as a result of any act or omission on the part of the Organiser.


18. By participating in the Contest, the participant agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein contained. The Organiser reserves the right to, at any time, vary, add or amend any of this Contest (including the prizes and discontinuing the Contest) or any part of these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.


19. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, the rules, regulations and methods of participation of the Contest, which are set out on www.maxis.com.my and www.hotlink.com.my, shall bind all participants in the Contest. Failure to comply with the said Terms & Conditions, rules, regulations, instructions and methods will result in the participant being disqualified.


20. The Contest shall in all respects be governed by the laws of Malaysia. However, it shall be the sole responsibility and obligation of the customer and winner to ensure that he/she complies with and does not contravene any laws to which he/she may be personally subject to.
