What is MMS?
MMS is an abbreviation of Multimedia Messaging Service. It is also referred to as Picture Messaging. With MMS you can send and receive messages up to 100KB in size. However you need to activate your GPRS account and enable MMS first. Click here for how to set-up MMS.
How much does it cost?
It costs RM0.25 to send an MMS within Malaysia from Maxis to Maxis or to e-mail addresses.
It costs RM0.50 to send an MMS within Malaysia to other operators.
 
What is International MMS?
International MMS allows Maxis subscribers to send and receive picture messages to and from international numbers / email addresses from the following countries & networks. Click here to view list.
How much does it cost?
The charge is RM 1.00 per International MMS.
How do I send an International MMS?
Type your message and send to <+><Country Code><Network Code><Phone number>
e.g. + 61 20 XXXXXXX
 
What is MMS Roaming?
MMS roaming allows you to send and receive MMS when you are roaming abroad, At the same time, it also enables Maxis inbound roamers to send and receive Picture Messaging while they are roaming in Maxis' network.

How much does MMS Roaming cost?
When roaming, the charge for sending an MMS from Maxis to Maxis is RM0.25 per MMS + roaming partner's charges + Maxis 10% roaming surcharge.

When roaming, the charge for sending an MMS to other international operator's network is RM1.00 per MMS + roaming partner's charges + Maxis 10% roaming surcharge.

When roaming, the charge for sending an MMS to other local operator's networks (i.e. DiGi, Celcom) is RM0.50 per MMS + roaming partner's charges + Maxis 10% roaming surcharge.
