Important facts to know before subscribing to Maxis Wireless Broadband Device Packages

  Whether you are within the HSDPA / 3G Coverage area?
The Service is only available in Maxis Broadband coverage areas. Please call 1800 82 2000 or log on to www.maxis.com.my/broadband to check if you are within the coverage area.

  About the "No Minimum Contract Period"?
There is no minimum contract period for the Maxis Broadband Service. A handling fee of RM200 is payable if you discontinue the Service. For customers who have stayed with us for 12 months or more, Maxis will absorb the handling fee.

  About the 7 days Return Policy?
If the Service is not up to your expectation, you can return the equipment within 7 days from the date of registration at no charge and we will fully refund the RM100 upfront fee (provided the equipment and its packaging are in good condition). The refund of RM100 upfront fee will be sent to the billing address via cheque within 12 weeks from the service discontinuation date.

  About the handling fee upon discontinuation of Service?
A handling fee of RM200 is payable if you discontinue the Service. For customers who have stayed with us for 12 months or more, Maxis will absorb the handling fee.

  About the speed of Service?
The Service is on a best effort basis and can vary from the subscribed package. Speeds for wireless broadband depend on factors such as location, distance from communications tower and number of simultaneous users.

  About the Fair Usage Policy?
To allow all our customers to enjoy quality browsing experience, Maxis will not assure constant connectivity if you use peer-to-peer or file sharing software. You may use the stipulated data volume per month based on packages subscribed. If you exceed this, Maxis reserves the right to throttle your speed, and for very excessive usage, to cap your usage.

  About E-Billing?
Bills are available in electronic format at https://myaccount.maxis.net.my/wbb and a copy is sent to your nominated email address in PDF format. If you choose to receive a paper bill, a RM5 per statement charge will apply.

  About the deposit?
A deposit is required for every broadband subscription under the same name (applicable to both Malaysians and non-Malaysians). However, for Malaysians, the deposit for the 1st subscription is waived.

  • Applicable to principal account holders of individual Maxis Mobile Postpaid consumer plans under the same name.
