Maxis Communication Berhad held its Initial Public Offering (IPO)
in 2002 and was listed on Bursa Malaysia on 8 July 2002.
In May 2007 Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd (part of the Usaha Tegas Sdn. Bhd. group), made a general
offer to take Maxis Communication Berhad private. Maxis market capitalization prior to delisting
stood at RM39.8 billion.
Maxis was subsequently de-listed from Bursa Malaysia on 25th June 2007 following the successful
completion of the privatization offer by Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd.
