1.2: At the telnet command screen, enter username: admin, and password: admin
1.3: Enter command nvram set admin_passwd=admin and press Enter key, then enter nvram commit to set the password to admin
Recover the forgotten password:
2.1: Open command screen (Start->Run->cmd)
2.2: Enter telnet 192.168.1.1
Note: if the DHCP address is changed, enter telnet e.home instead.
2.3: Enter username: admin
Note: if enter wrongly, DO NOT use backspace, use delete key instead to delete.
2.4: Enter password: admin
Note: there will be no prompt or display of the entered password. Make sure enter correctly. Ifpassword is entered incorrectly, need to redo telnet and repeat from step 2.2.
2.5: When connect successfully, enter the command nvram get admin_passwd. The password will be returned on the screen.
Check if the data light is permanently on or blinking
Check the WiFi settings
Under WiFi settings, configure the security settings.
Check whether the modem is connected or not by going into the modem administration page http://192.168.1.1
Check whether the PC is connected to the modem by ‘ping-ing’ the modem using the following command at DOS prompt:
