Who is eligible for MaxisONE Go WiFi plans?
These plans are available for new registrations, port-in, or change of rate plan from existing Maxis postpaid plans and Pocket WiFi plans. Both Malaysians and foreigners over the age of 18 years are eligible.
How many mobile plan(s) including MaxisONE Go WiFi plan(s) can I subscribe to?
Each customer can sign up for up to 5 plans per individual Identification Card (Malaysian IC) or Passport.
Can I register for a plan without modem (ie SIM-only plan)? If yes, do I need to pay for any rate plan advance payment?
Yes. You will have to pay for one month of rate plan advance payment, which will be offset against the first month’s invoice. Any balance will be carried forward to the following month.
Does MaxisONE Go WiFi plans come with call and SMS?
This plan does not support calls and outgoing SMS.
Do I need to pay any deposit?
Deposit applies to non-Malaysians at RM500 per plan registration.
Will there be any contract for the MaxisONE Go WiFi plan(s)?
Yes, there is a 12-month contract if you sign up for a plan with modem. There is no contract period if purchasing the SIM-only plan.
Can I purchase the modem without contract?
Yes, you are allowed to purchase modem only at the retail recommended price (RRP).
Am I allowed to downgrade my MaxisONE Go WiFi plan?
No, you are not allowed to downgrade the plan if you are contracted. An early termination fee will be charged and is calculated based on [(Recommended Retail Price (RRP) – Upfront Cost) x (Remaining month(s) ÷ 12 months or 24 months)] + RM 100 administration fee.
If I am an existing Maxis Wireless Broadbrand (WBB) customer, can I upgrade to the latest MaxisONE Go WiFi plan?
Existing Maxis Wireless Broadbrand (WBB) customer has to terminate current WBB plan before signing up the new MaxisONE Go WiFi plans. If you are still under contract, you will be recontracted in order to have the early termination charge waived.
How can I check my quota usage?
You can check your quota usage on MyMaxis App, UMB (*100#) or Maxis Online Account.
If my base quota is depleted, can I continue to browse?
Yes, once your allocated internet quota finishes, the speed will be reduced to a 64kbps until your next billing cycle. To continue enjoying the service at regular speeds, you may purchase non-recurring time based passes.
How can I purchase time based pass?
You can purchase time based passes through your MyMaxis App, UMB or Maxis Online Account.
How would my quota be deducted?
It will first be drawn from your time based pass (if you have purchased one), followed by your plan-based quota.
Can I use this service whilst roaming overseas?
Yes, you can use this service while roaming overseas. However, please note that rates differ while roaming. To use the service, please ensure that your International Roaming service is activated.
How does the Data Roaming for RM10/day work?
While roaming in these 8 ASEAN countries (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos), you can continue browsing according to your domestic data quota for just RM10/day (expires at midnight of the country capital time).
What are the charges for International Roaming calls and SMS?
Calls and SMS for International Roaming are charged based on your visiting country. You may refer to https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/services/addons/idd-and-roaming/international-roaming.html to find out more.
Can I get a second SIM to share the main quota from the MaxisONE Go WiFi plan?
Yes. You can sign up for our MultiSim line charged at RM 15/month. You can own up to five (5) MultiSim cards with one (1) MaxisONE Go WiFi plan.
I am signing up for a 4G Home modem device contract on MaxisONE Go WiFi and interested in getting a 4G MiFi modem as well. Can I purchase 4G MiFi modem at a discounted rate?
Yes, we allow Purchase with Purchase (PWP) where customers can enjoy a 20% discount from RRP (recommended retail price) on 4G MiFi modem. This discount is only applicable to 4G MiFi modem and available at selected Maxis Centres.
My device is not working. How do I get it fixed?
If your device is still under warranty (12 months), walk in to any Maxis Centre for a one-on-one replacement.
