Yes. Offer is subject to a contract period of 24months.
Is there any advance payment that I need to pay to enjoy this offer? Can I enjoy a waiver?
Yes. An advance payment is required for new customers and existing customers, waived for customers more than 6 months with good payment records.
Why do I need to sign a contract to enjoy this offer?
Because these are subsidized device offers. Thus, the contract is to ensure Maxis retains the customer over a minimum period of time.
I currently have 2 device contracts; can I sign up for another contract?
If you have been with us for more than 1 year, you are entitled up to 5 device contracts per IC. Hence, you may be able to sign-up another contract.
However, if you have been with us for less that 1 year, you are only entitled for up to 2 contracts ONLY.
I’m serving a contract with my current Telco, how can I accept this offer?
You would need to terminate your contract with your current service provider and settle all outstanding amounts before you can be successfully ported in on this device offer.
I’m an existing Maxis customer and I am serving my device contract. Can I get the penalty waived for my current contract?
As per current guidelines, if a customer has shown to have a good payment record and their previous 24-months contract is ending in 4 months or less, a penalty waiver will be extended for re-contracting.
What happens if I terminate/transfer my line within my contract period?
You will incur the early termination penalty as per your signed contract.
For MaxisOnePlan: Penalty fees will be dependent on Maxis device contract terms. The pre-termination charge is calculated based on:
Penalty Amount = [(Recommended Retail Price (RRP) – Upfront Cost) x (Remaining month(s) ÷ 24 months)] + RM 100
What happens if I transfer my line to my other Maxis account?
You will have to continue serving your contract commitment.
