After signing up for solar with Maxis, we will assign a billing cycle for you. Your first bill will reflect prorated charges based on your installation date.
If you relocate, it's generally more cost-effective to install a new solar system at your new property rather than moving the existing setup. Alternatively, you can sell the solar system with your property, which may enhance its market value.
If you terminate your contract, you will be required to pay a prorated amount to buy out the solar system, based on the remaining contract tenure.
Yes, you will still need to pay your TNB bills as usual. Solar panels help reduce your bill, but they do not eliminate it entirely.
The SolaRIS Rebate program ended in April 2025. As of now, the government has not announced any extension or continuation of the scheme. For the latest updates and information on Net Energy Metering (NEM), please visit the myTNB NEM page.
You will be required to pay a one-time Service Setup Fee of RM 1,000 together with your first months Maxis Home Solar Bill.
The one-time fee payable by you to Maxis are for costs associated with the NEM Application, configuration, Installation and activation of the Solar PV System at the Premises.
The cost of a typical solar system in Malaysia ranges from RM 30,000 to RM 50,000+, depending on your energy needs and roof size. But with Maxis, we make going solar affordable and easy:

Home Assessment:

Choose Your Plan:
Select the plan that works best for your financial preferences:

Solar Subscription Plans:
Fixed Monthly Fee: Pay a set amount (e.g., RM 300/month) based on your system size.
Pay-for-Energy-Generated: Only pay for the energy your system produces (e.g., RM 0.25/kWh).
Outright Purchase: Own Your System: Pay upfront (RM 30,000–RM 50,000+) and enjoy 100% of the savings.

Once your system is installed, you'll start saving on your electricity bills right away.
For the Outright Purchase Plan, we accept the following secure payment methods:
Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard)
Online Banking Transfer (FPX)

Important Notes:
Full payment is required upfront as a one-time transaction.
Easy Payment Plans (EPP) or installment options are not available for this plan.
All payments are processed securely through our encrypted payment gateway.
