No, the 4G Backup dongle is provided for use only with a Maxis provided router at your Maxis Fibre plan installation address. You are not allowed to plug the dongle into any router or device not provided by Maxis or location other than the registered Maxis Fibre plan installation address.

Your service may be barred or terminated if the service is detected to be used with non-Maxis router or outside your premises.

WiFi Extender/Repeater (Old Technology)

• What it does: Acts like a "signal booster" – takes your existing WiFi and rebroadcasts it to areas with weak coverage.
• Downsides:
  • Creates two separate WiFi names (e.g., HomeWiFi and HomeWiFi_EXT).
  • You must manually switch networks as you move around the house.

• What it does: Uses multiple devices (called "nodes") to create one seamless network for your whole home.
• Benefits:
