For current Maxis customers, we have registered your consent for the use of your personal data for the services you have subscribed to under our terms and conditions.

- How we use it: To provide services, billing, customer support, and service improvements
- How we protect it: Through encryption, access controls, and regular security audits

Harassment & Phone Number Changes

Yes, there will be a charge of RM25 for changing your number. You can request this change through any Maxis Centre.
Spam Protection

While it’s not always possible to stop spam completely, here’s how to minimize it:
Immediate Actions:
- Don’t reply or call numbers in suspicious messages – This could confirm your number is active.
- Block the spam number on your phone.
- Report the spammer to Maxis by sharing:
- The sender’s number
- Message content
- Date/time received
Preventive Steps:
- Guard your phone number: Avoid sharing it publicly (e.g., online forms, surveys, shops).
- Read terms & conditions before giving your number to organizations. Reputable companies will ask permission before sharing your details.
- Opt out of third-party marketing where possible.
- Activate spam protection features on your phone.
Important Note:
If someone with your number in their contacts gets hacked, scammers might access your details. Stay vigilant!We take spam seriously and actively work to protect you:
- Proactive monitoring: We use anti-spam systems to block suspicious messages.
- Action against Maxis/Hotlink numbers: If a spam message comes from a Maxis/Hotlink number, we investigate and block it.
- Your role matters: Report spam to us with:
- The sender’s number,
- Message content, and
- Date/time received
