To those TV couch potatoes out there, soon, you’ll no longer have to miss your favourite TV programmes just because there’s no TV in sight. Thanks to the launch of a new communications satellite which transmits digital television signals to mobile phones and TVs in vehicles, mobile phone users in Japan and Korea will be able to watch TV on their mobile phones.

This is really great for those who needs information on the move 24/7. with this service, business men can get the latest news or the latest stock prices back home while they’re travelling abroad, or for those football freaks, they’ll never miss a “live” match again when they need to use the washroom! Even for “ordinary” folks like children or housewives, they can always watch their favourite channel in the privacy of their own phone!

Users will be offered a selection of programmes on more than 100 channels. Broadcast trials are scheduled to begin some time in April. What will happen if this service is introduced here in our country? People will be reaching for the mobile phone instead of the TV remote!

The Nokia 7610, GSL Xplore G18, and Orange SPV M1000 all have one thing in common- they are all-in-one mobile devices, but there’s when the similiarity ends...

Voting from your mobile phone? Wouldn’t that be great if we can do it here too? Some folks in England are already doing it via text messages now!
